You can call 65386280 for the rate. Soometimes the number is quite busy.
This number is from a remittance coompany in Chinatown.
As someone mentioned, the commission is S$18 per transaction.
The rate is usually better than money changer. It pays to change a larger
amount to overcome the commission paid.
I have a Bank account in China, so no issue to remit, advantage is I do
not need to hand carry large amount of cash.

Have went down to PPC to exchange RMB for upcoming trip to Foushan & Sansui via Zhuhai. Any recommendations (hotels, entertainment outlets or Saunas ) for these 2 places, going there for the FIRST TIME.

OK, most of them offer 4.86 based on Yesterdays (15th July) exchange rate.
The best rate is 4.871 outside PPC UOB.

Unlikely...IMHO. Think even 4.90 could be difficult. If it really hit 4.90, I will xchange some $.
