Dear Bangkok gurus (especially friends who are physically living in Bangkok and / or well settled into the city),

My girl is looking for a job that will pay approximately 20,000 bath a month. I would like to modestly ask what the options are that might be available to her. She didn't finish University but has the next-highest grade of education (I believe it's high school). She is seriously considering quitting the night scene and I would like to find out if she has a remote chance of doing so. What are the normal pay scales associated with front desk jobs or service level positions? Would a monthly salary of 20,000 baht be considered high by Thai city standards? Is she stuck in the night scene for life?

Fresh university graduates are paid with starting salary of around 10,000baht. Asking for 20,000baht without a university certificate would be difficult.

My suggestion for u is to get her to start working for maybe around 10,000baht and u make up the difference ( 10,000baht ) for her salary.

Only by doing so , u will at least let her leave the night scene "temporarily" and adjust her life back to thai standards.

Caution : She might not be able to stay on the job for long , since she is used to short hours ,easy money and less tiring.

Making up the difference is not impossible, but due to the nature of her current job (G-Club girl), she's paid on average a salary of 40,000 baht (and sometimes even more) every month. I would have to top up 30,000 baht a month for her, which would be excessive in my view.

I understand that the average pay scale for non-University graduates range from 7,000 to 10,000 baht. I guess it would be difficult for her to do anything outside of the night scene for now? Maybe if she cut down on certain luxuaries (brand names and cosmetics; maybe even sell her car) she could get by with less.

Open for her a saloon or flower shop, she can easily get 20000 bath to 30000 bath per month, i did it so for my ger friend

It's Nakasky not nanasky...

If u think u cant top up her remaining difference , it's pretty hard to even discuss this option between both of u.

There is no way for u to ask her to change her lifestyle. Seriously through my years of experience , it's pretty hard to ask a thai girl to totally change her lifestyle when she could easily have it the way she has it now.

Maybe u can get her to change for a month or two at most. End of day , the issue will be brought up and soon she will be back to work should u fail to accept her monetary conditions.

nO worries about the nick.

Saloon business is so competitive in bangkok i would say. Every where u see lots of saloon with not much business. Not unless u open 1 at hway kwang talaat or Nana Plaza for the WLs to go daily for their hairdo and makeup.

she open at below condo or aparment which out of central bkk cost 100000 bath, she buy those flower from chiangmai and sell it to walk in customer , she do flyer to distribute to office and provide delively service for customer, even there is very tiring but is good also... ask her go to find the place, we got no friend in bkk very hard to find those place for saloon or flower, of course she need to take up those lession, then the teacher will teach her how to do the business.
saloon cost i think 160000 bath with complete equipment.

sorry for bad english.... That wat i know now, i can't elaborate more cos i only put up the cost then she never complaint about not enough money, somemore she need to take care mother, brother and daughter....
