my limit law is: contract agreemnt must have consensus "meeting of minds". Undertaking signed with full understanding of WL? I think is yes la, SGP authority wun make this kind of primary school mistake.

Contract agreement cannot be signed under duress; else make contract not binding/void. This 1 maybe can argue cos uneducated WL facing Immigration may have no choice but to sign. I think this 1 the authority are aware: if they rely on statutes, then confirm no need to tell ppl to sign. You come i, tungkap you, full stop. If you NEED to TELL ppl to sign; this means that it is a VOLUNTARY undertaking- i can dun sign mah. The Q are they told they have a choice not to sign; if not to this undertaking/doc not to come to sgp is hor gao gan 1.

if indeed its a voluntary undertaking; but if it is an acknowledgement to the WL that the relevant laws has been explained to her; then...no case.

this is my limited law la, bro with more better and cheem understanding pls correct if i am wrong. C.

Re: ord from geylang , can come back sg ?

ORD-ed personnels are allowed to visit singapore after X number of years (im not sure on that X number can someone verify) as a tourist, however, they need to declare on the white card that they have worked in SG before, and when they cross over, do not, DO NOT even try to extend, come sg 14 day liao guai guai go home.

However, in the case of mine and a few others, my gf was using a fako pp to enter SG to work yonders ago, so, even she was honest, she's still guilty of the charge of coming into SG with a illegal passport, so im not sure.

my girl has been away from SG for almost 4 yrs already, im still not taking that chance, BECUZ her friends, and some of my friends' girl in the same situation took that risk, and 1 or 2 of them are sitting @ portsdown prison

if someone can comfirm the number of years ICA keeps the records that will be great, cuz after that they might be able to try enter SG afresh legally.

actually coming over to SGP to visit is just a matter of luck, my girl's friends have had some that got caught on the 1st try, some still popping in and out sg every few months.
But for those that are thinking of bringing them here to settle down, get PR and stuff.. forget it la..
maybe when she ORD 10-15yrs liao den u try maybe can :P

As for point 1, there is no hard and fast rule how long the ban will be imposed, some 1 year some 3 years but there is definitely a limit.

Point 2, Fake passport? Definitely an offence, no escape

Point 3, Need to come to SG? Write to immigration, you go by the rules and declare everything accordingly on the white card and at the immigration counter, you are alright. Technically by telling the truth you commit no offence, worst case is they send you back on the next flight.

Point 4, There are ways. Legally i mean. Depends on whether you are willing to go the extra mile to get it done.

"ORD already can come back to SG" is one of the most frequently asked questions. No one can provide a 100% answer. Its like asking "Some people strike Toto, will I strike too?" Only solution is to buy Toto yourself to find out

Bro actually what they are told to sign is not a contract. That document simply ensures they have been told and notified of their ban. Signing the paper merely indicated that they have have understood and been notified of the law and consequences when breached.

well being honest would mean telling the ICA she last time came SG to work with X pp, and now she has a legal Y pp. that's slapping herself on the face aint it ?

Bro, read point 2. The answer is there. Using fake passport before and still lie about it, XX months/years of sentence. Declaring use of fake passport before and re-entering telling the truth = reduced X months/years of sentence. An offence committed will be duly punished. She can take chances but not worth it. Not declaring on 1st entry = 1 offence, second entry successful = 2 offences, caught on 3rd attempted entry = Priceless, 2 successful re-entry attempts providing false declaration, laggi jialat penalty. Hope you understand the essence of what I am trying to say.

Actually, I think most who pop in and out of Singapore after they ORD are the "Real Thai" ex-WL, true brew thai ...

Faithful thais ex-WL are so rare, imo, but some allowed to come/go freely. Faithful non-thais ex-WL more common, but banned from coming/going freely.

Suckers win ... as always

Just opinions ...
