FL OKT has advised to please book early as slots mostly gone by evening. Their business is roaring. Meanwhile GL OKT eat grass for a few months already with more months to follow. This joker concerned about people not quitting GL. Many quit long ago loh and much more will quit. Under the circumstances I doubt the government would want to compromise its integrity, particularly since it is already pushing ahead with a national digital health records registry. Covid-19 is an unprecedented national health crisis and medical confidentiality seems applicable.

A bigger threat would be a breach of cyber security, like the HIV data breach eg provided by unfit. But after that case, i should think the government has tightened the systems, processes and protocols.

As for the potential threat of the GL OKTs using the Safe Entry data for their own purposes as claimed in another post above, well if they are so foolish and desperate, then they can also expect a long 'holiday' at the 'Changi Hilton' courtesy of our courts.

But let's face it, if the GL OKTs wanted to play the personal identity game they could have already done it a long time ago by secretly taking photos of GL punters and their vehicles(if any) and threaten to post the same on social media. By extension, what would stop an FL OKT and/or an FL from doing the same by secretly taking photos/videos of a punter visiting the FL, in this case could even be of the punter naked or worse still having sex?

If you want to term my posts as fear mongering, then your posts are a litany of false assurances on flimsy premises and an esteemed view of GL OKTs as respectable businessman and nice guys.

1. A normal business is not a brothel. In the event that say Hougang Mall gets hacked and the info released online,
a) I have no problems with ppl knowing I went to Hougang Mall; and
b) The avenue is there to sue Hougang Mall and seek compensation.
c) If they misuse the data, say for marketing purposes, you can make a police report.

If a brothel gets hacked, the whole world will know you go GL. It is pointless to sue them because many are broke and they will offer customers no compensation or apology unlike a normal business. You also won't sue them because your name will flash in the papers even more brightly. You have no options just suck thumb.

2. It is your preogative to accept whatever the government says. They say many things. They say foreign workers are well taken care of. Up to you if you want to believe. Did the govt mention to you that securing the data is the businesses responsibility and if they get hacked not their problem?

3. Listed companies and even the majority of SMEs are probably in a position to SECURE their data. It costs money and expertise. What do GL OKTs know about securing data? They are like mama stalls. Are they going to spend $20, 000 on tech? These guys don't even spend a few hundred bucks to repair their toilet. You think they will give a f about protecting your data? If kena hack, kena hack loh, nothing will happen to them. What are you, as a customer going to do? Complain to AV? You're fucked.

4. Many things happen behind the public eye via ISD and under national security. Nobody knows if they have plans to use the goldmine of info. Did you expect the govt to say "Actually we have some plans for the info lah"? I hardly said anything controversial. I suggested that there is a POSSIBILITY that the govt may quietly keep the data for other purposes. Who knows? Apple Inc and Alphabet Inc's Google on Monday (May 4) said they would ban the use of location tracking in apps that use a new contact tracing system the two are building to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.
