HIV cannot be transmitted via saliva. The risk is that people may have open sore in their mouths or genital and spread hiv that way.

Other stds like gonoreah, chamiyah, herpes can be spread via saliva. excuse the bad spelling

The risk to catching HIV via oral sex is low but there are many other STDs which can be easily transmitted via an unprotected blow job.

A dental dam is a thin piece of rubber that you can put ONTO the woman's vulva (NOT into her vagina), covering her pussy so that you can lick it without actually coming into contact with it. Since there is no exchange of saliva or pussy fluids, it helps prevent STDs.

If you don't have a dental dam, you can always cut up a condom and spread it over her pussy and do the same thing.
