Now back 2 yr question, for that budget of 800-1200b in skv area only gets U a room (small ) in sleazy inns like Leela (soi3- lots of slimy/shady arabs, blacks), Rajah Inn (soi4- another sleazy one), grace(soi3-little arabia), nana (the mothership.... I am surprised they did not rename it "neneh" ) as hotels in skv pricier than ratchada, pratunam but of 'cos less pricy than Sanam Luang, Ploenchit.

So what U R asking for is basically 2 rooms (for 2 gals and 2 guys) for price of 1 which I am afraid is not feasible.
No offence but your best bet would be backpackers/lodging houses in Khao San....U could probably get few rooms for that budget and squeeze 4 and have a dozen joiners and a rocking party.

The Majestic Suites is good for ppl who like NEP and don't like to walk too far.....only a few steps away. The rate quoted by Gigantor is for deluxe room. The standard rooms are more in the region of THB1000. The standard of the rooms are probably the quality (pretty good room for this value) of Palazzo in Ratchada except maybe a little smaller. Also has very small lobby/cafe area.
