Will be easier if you can tell me what food old folks can eat or what you wish to eat?

Another good fish soup located at Whampoa Makan Place aka the Whampoa morning food centre. This stall normally has a queue from 10am onwards to lunch time.

The fried fish slices thick vermicelli will normally be the pick of the crowd with choice of either clear soup or soup with milk.
There are also fish head options and can choose to go with rice or just soup without vermicelli. There are folks who order fresh (instead of fried) fish slices as well.
The fried fish slices have a good batter with no strong fishy smell and the soup had a good balance of sweetness and saltiness with a dash of ginger and garlic. Vegetable mix of kale leaves/stems and chinese cabbage are also added.
Cut chili padi and soya are available to accompany the fare.

NOTE - really take me sometime to post just 2 photos. Sometimes may not work and resizing a pain. Also to research and find the nice food another pain. Anyway hope you guys enjoy.
Price seems reasonable.

Re: BEST FOOD DISCUSSION - Palatable, Savory, Delicious Food Found In ASEAN

Just saw this dish today.

Fhoul Madinah Istimewa Original Kacang Pool

#02-114 GEYLANG SERAI MARKET AND FOOD CENTRE, 1 GEYLANG SERAI, 402001

Kacang Pool or Kacang Phool is a rather popular food in Johor Bahru, and everyone seems to be talking about Kacang Pool Pak Haji at Larkin. As this dish is adapted from the Middle eastern way of eating fava bean, I think the name Kacang Pool most likely got its name from the Egyptian word foul (or pronounced “ful”) for fava bean. Foul Medames is considered to be Egyptian’s national breakfast

Ah Gong still got teeth. Some of the old folks got some teeth . Some got no more teeth left. Some are using dentures. Most of the time old folks got trouble chewing. So we prefer to eat porridge and noodles and anything that is soft . Hope this helps.

Introduce food fit for senior citizens.

Royal J’s Seafood

Signature Fried Seafood Porridge ($12).

Malaysian fried porridge is what Royal J’s Seafood serves up. Currently at their new location at Jalan Besar, this bowl of extra umami and decadent fried porridge is your next go to, for when you’re feeling for a heavier dose of porridge heaven.

Sprinkled with pork lard and copious amount of spring onion, it is made denser with soft and creamy pieces of yam. I only wished the pork lard was crispier and the pieces of seafood were more identifiable.

Royal J’s Seafood: 30 Foch Rd, Singapore 209276 | Tel:+65 9357 3993
