I'm not on anyone's side per se, but everything and everyone has a different side to it/them. what I was trying to say was to maybe take a step back an loot at it from a different angle

I can empathize with ur fren too cos yes, I've been down that same road too.
Honestly, did professional help help? Sorry, no. I deign to elaborate here...
Perhaps I am the exception to the rule.
Perhaps it's just my distrust of these so-called professionals and helplines and what not from my own experiences.
To each their own i guess?
I'm not condoning anything not am I advocating we should all think alike
But that's the spirit of the forum as u have rightly pointed out- voice freely.
And because there is a diverse variety of people here, we can also exchange stories and learn from each others' experiences.

I'm apologize if this post may upset u, when u are voicing ur opinion freely
But I just felt plain speaking on a public thread also has its limits even in e name of fun & sharing.

Bernardfrosty may be right: I know of a few cases where these guys have been 'reformed' as extra curricular pursuits as I shall call them have lost their attraction. There will always be black sheep, I don't deny but let's hold out for the pride of the pack- the good sheep.
And u never know when u strip off a wolf's clothing, u'd be surprised to find a shivering , scared, meek little white fluffy sheep beneath )

Yes. Not asking you to call help line. Seeking for professional is to look for physiologist if you think counsellor can't help you.

I can recommend if you need one. I have friends in this area.

U believe professional help makes a diff, by all means.
But Don't assume i didn't try those fat cat psychologist, psychiatrists etc.
ys, I did visit them when I went thru tough times as I had written about earlier.

So I don't believe in the "professional help" advocated.. That's my belief and I am not imposing it on u, or any other person either.
Everyone's case is different, that's why I am just asking u to not generalize.

In the beginning it was fun. Sure, but then it got personal which I felt shouldn't be the case.
