It was a weekday lunch and as there were a lot of offices around the area. Bugis was packed. By packed I mean the Japanese restaurant had a queue long enough to turn off anyone who even had any intention of dining there. I can see MRT Girl looked upset and disappointed.

Me: erm, wana queue?

MRT girl: you siao ah

Me: let's just queue, you've been craving for this right?

MRT girl: okay bah.. hope the queue goes fast

- we went ahead and queued, there were service staff coming out to give the front few people menu and taking orders. The service staff looked to be a trainee, behind him was a man in suit watching and overseeing.. I looked closer and it was my classmate in poly, shawn. -

I gave Shawn a call on his phone and he picked up immediately

Shawn: siao eh why you call I working now leh.

Me: ya nice suit.

Shawn: ?! how you know what I wearing.

Me: I smart

Shawn: don't play leh where you. what you want I need to go back work one leh

Me: look to the end of the queue infront of you

Shawn hung up immediately and I saw him walking over.

Shawn: Wa so free come here queue ah.

Me: ya la what to do this girl want to eat here she say she craving for Japanese food.

Shawn: new girl ah??

Me: oi what new girl don't anyhow.

Shawn: ok la ok la I don't say anything.
Shawn whispered to me: leave the queue and follow me

I pulled MRT Girl along after that and Shawn Led is into the restaurant and sat us down.

Me: wa manager ah?

Shawn: no la, area manager.

Me: simi

Shawn: I'm in charge of all restaurants under this group within CBD area so I go around checking quality standards and ensuring the staff don't slack lor

Me: (clap) zai lor. oh ya forget tntroduce you. MRT girl this is Shawn my poly classmate, Shawn, this is MRT Girl, she broke my phone this mornin.

Shawn: walao eh break phone then come lunch date. steady leh. Miss, wan break my phone too??

Me: don't play la haha

Shawn: ok la leave you two alone. enjoy lunch, it's on me!

Me: steady thanks bro cya

MRT girl: your friend like nice ah.

Me: you want ah?

-- fast forward, we ordered food, chit chat about work stuff and I began to be curious -

Me : eh we like friends already but I still don't know your name

MRT girl: oh ya. my name is hui ling you can call me ling.

Me: hello ling ling I'm Thomas's

Ling: choo choo train

Me: choo your head la!

Ling covered her mouth and giggled like a small little girl enjoying herself. She looked excited for some reason

Through the conversation I found out it was her first day at work at the company introduced to her by her friends and she didn't want to leave a bad first impression. I mean, with looks like that and this hot slim figure how to leave bad impression?? She'll get all the spotlight in her office man.

Lunch was great and we talked like old friends, never even talked about my cracked phones. Seemed like a nice catch up conversation. She isn't from a wealthy family but she is trying to work hard to build a better life. She is smart, from her way she talks and the topics she chooses. She's not those dumb clueless and helpless girls, even though she is a little clumsy. I don't know why but from wanting to fuck her in her office wear I somehow began growing a strong interest in ling
