hey brother! looking from another perspective, you have a lot less to work on as compared to many who are still struggling with money, car, house, kid, debts, etc...

A mere suggestion here, why don’t you look at the whole scenario at a different perspective, there are many still struggling at the wrong end of the scale, some still juggling between wedding cost and house deposit. You are already there where many are still besieged all these “formalities” of life. Do some self-consoling and perhaps you might realize how wonderful life had been to you and you might just find that little inspiration to spur you on.

What I have now came at a price... on top of it I worked my youth away 20hrs a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

However, if I had the choice, I would still do it the same way and not marry the person I love the most. Sometimes it is more practical and sensible to NOT marry the person you love the most... difficult to put that in words though.

I've been consoling myself and have found my inspiration in my kid. Life does indeed look better after having a kid, even if the kid was not borne by the one you love the most. Just like the stock market, cannot always expect to sell at the highest price... as long as there is substantial profit, it is good enough.

The good thing is the kid eventually becomes the ONE you love the most.

I don't think I will ever leave my family for the one I love the most even if she begs me to. I'll probably just turn away with a heavy heart... and go off smiling with my kid.

Well, don’t think is not good enough, it should be don’t ever think. Stirring up unnecessary mud in a stagnant pool of water is the last thing you ever wanna do. Once in a while getting a ripple or two is still fine by all means. One thing I had learn in these few years is:

should be 8-10hrs a day, 5 - 5&1/2 days a week, 48-50 weeks a year.
