Gov don't take a cut they only license the gal to keep vice in check...taking money equates them to earning off prostitutes, an immoral form of earning and like that they are no better than okt..all this is straight from the horse mouth, an okt from legal house..

My bad for saying theres a cut, do u know that those okts in geylangs are ah bengs and the only way to obtain a license or work inside is to hv a criminal record but the record cannot be vice or serious offence. For eg, brawling and stuff.
Government dont get a cut, but by issuing the license, it converts the ah bengs to legit businessman and the taxes they paid?
For online vice, who would report their earning to iras? Thats the difference.
In Geylang theres over or nealy 100 houses and each houses chao chao earn 30 to 40k after overheads and yearly is half a mil for just one legal house, imagine over 100 of them? And i doubt they can play around with the figures like other normal companies do as theirs are being seriously monitored by the authorities...

Laws say Chc misuse the funds for some crossover proj investment? "Temasek holdings in a way uses people cpf funds for some overseas investments? But how come nothing happens to them? So my point is, if Chc is a government entity which government have access to the funds or enjoy it, they wont be name as illegal..

From what i heard from okt they also dun pay tax cos earnings are deprived from "immoral" means, gov don't want to touch such money..
