Some ppl do u a favour n give u a ride, u don't pay him but sometimes buy him a meal thats close to $10. So ur fren don't feel taken advantage n treated like chauffeur

In spore, very common to see who's driving uber la. Cos the passenger always sit at back. So alot of uber drivers don't care being seen as uber driver

I don't see it as driver being embarrassed to b seen as driver but a scenario where a guy who's not a driver being treated as one. If wan to b driver, drive uber n earn more lo

With the newly launched Grabshare.... I will feel that hitch rides will decline soon

Hitch you need to book in advanced... and somemore most of these drivers are not doing it fulltime (1 driver can only do 2 hitch ride) so they are very proud of their cars and will quarrel over stupid things (smelly food smelly odor, demand passenger to sit in front, don't dig nose or ear etc....)
And as most pointed out, some hitch are just doing it to xian girls

Grabshare on the other hand do not need to book in advance and the drivers are doing it for a living, so they know what to do and are more courteous

My first experience as grabhitch driver... pick up the gal near my office. She boarded n sit behind. I was like WTF cos i nv expect the pax to sot behind. I tried to pick up the conversation with her but she seems not interested, so I auto n stopped. She was heading to Taka..after I drove past Ion building... a beep sound came on.... suddenly I remembered n curse inside "WTF". Sent my car for servicing that morning n forgot to insert back cashcard. Got $10+$2 fine but offset $2 paid via AXS. Then the gal wanted to drop off at Paragon instead n im ok with it. Then i drove in n further n she started abit different tone n said " if u dont let me alight here, i dont know how to walk over to Paragon. N i just stop just after Mt E. then she just open the door, walk down n close it n go. I was like "WTF" so unfriendly passenger. I earned 10 bucks for this ride.

But after first encounter.. the rest were friendly n always sit in front. Some r chio type but i didnt follow up due to some policices as grabhitch.. nevertheless... good to earn lunch $ while driving on the way. Cos i never go to specificed place n pick up pax, only those few steps away from me... n no...i not cheapo guy
