First of all, interesting & refreshing thoughts from all bros / sis. It does show the various measure of exposure and experience to dating / marriage and stages of life. There is no right or wrong to it. Just what is acceptable / not-acceptable by societal norms or standards.

My humble opinion, men and women alike should build up personal capabilities to be in the position to choose being single or being attached. I find these are just these categories are just labels - Single and available, Married but available FWB, ONS, compensated dating and bla bla.

Myself ,my 2pence and why i think it would be wrong of me to advise anyone if being single or married is better.
-When i was younger(20s to early 30's), more energetic but life foundation still shaky - still didn't know what i want, still experimenting, very curious cat prefer no strings attached because can live alone for whatever the reason and so much more stuff to play with out there.
-When i was not so young( mid 30s and onward) - single-hood start to lose its appeal as career and self development have opened doors to sample what my heart desires.
-Presently - married and looking forward to walk the dog hand-in-hand into the sunset with my partner in life. Then sit in my yard enjoying a smoke and drink quietly reflecting that all this fun in life is temporary. Sooner or later we will move to things beyond what singlehood and youth can offer.

The only things that were ever constant in all the above were the principals / values instilled through family, upbringing or religion - but NEVER societal standards ( i'm a non-conformist and can be quite binary on certain subjects)

P.S -At the end of the day, even if you decided to get married, will you 'settle' for just anyone who meets the minimal criteria(consolation prize) or.......?

I think affinity and 6 figure income plays the most leh (hav at least 1 of the 2)

I gt all the other stuff except 6 figure income. I wouldnt call myself ugly but average looking but i m still single. I mean i can suisuibianbian find 1 if i dam desperate1, but at end of the day i wont really love her, also its being unfair to her.
