After a slow walk at the park, we headed home. June settled Isabelle to bed. Meanwhile I have my shower. After a good bath, I went to the kitchen to make a cuppa of coffee. I walked passed June's room, knocked the door and she answered.

Me: "Is Isabelle asleep?"
June: "Yape....couple of minutes ago."

Me: "Great. Would you want to have a hot drink?"
June: "hmmm....sure."

Me: "What about hot chocolate?"
June: "That will be great."


So I went to make a coffee and a hot chocolate and went back to June's room. We sat at the balcony and just plain savoring the hot beverages without much conversation. We would at times look at each other then smile onto each other. Our hands holding on together just like a couple again.


June: "Thanks dear."
Me: "Urrr...huh....what thanks?"

June: "Thanks for all these."
Me: "Hmmm.....I don't want you to say thanks to me ok. I want you to know how I feel about you and Isabelle."

June: "I know. I clearly know how you feel about us. But will your parents mind that you are going with a married woman with a kid?"
Me: "Hmmm....how do you feel about my mum just now? How do you think she treats you and her atittude towards you?"

June: "Your mum is a nice lady. I can feel her warmth. We can chat very well. But"
Me: "But what?"

June: "This is only the initial start between me and your mum. In the long run, I am afraid this will not be the situation. You know, people always mentioned that in-laws and daughter-in-laws always have conflict.....I am afraid."
Me: "Hey dear. I don't see any problem between the 2 of you. I know my mum well and she is the kind who will not pick on a person and even talk back on others. Whereas you....I am sure you can be a nice daugter-in-law. I am faith in you. If not, I wouldn't persist with this relationship."

June: ".....I am worried..."
Me: "Don't worry this trivial things. You have more important things to attend. Let me crack my heads and strive with you....alright?"

June: "Sigh....sure."
Me: "I love you."

June: "Me too...."
Me: "Ok....now you have finished your drink it's time to turn-in alright."

June: "Yes Sir."
Me: "Hmmmp....that's a good girl. Now go Zzzzzz...."

June: "Ok....See you tomorrow."
Me: "Alright... we will go to the market and get breakfast for everyone k."

June: "See you."
Me: "See you tomorrow at 8 ok. Bring Isabelle along also."

June: "Sure."
Me: "Smmooch."

Guessed I must be very tired that I dozed off straight after I lie down onto the bed and thru out the next morning. Alarm clocked blasted thru my brain off!

It was 7.30, Washed up and head straight down to the living room. June and Isabelle were already waiting for me.

Isabelle: "Good morning uncle."
Me: "Hi...morning Isabelle."

June: "Hi"
Me: "Hi morning. Did you have a good rest?"

June: "Yah." Very good sleep."
Me: "Great for you. I am sure you have no problem adapting here then."

June: "Hahaha."
Me: "Hmmm...so shall we leave the house and let's go to the hawker center?"

June: "Yape...sure."
Me: "Let's go babe."


We hopped into the car and drove straight to the nearby Market and Hawker center. Parked the car and we were taking a stroll inside the rows of stalls. I was holding both Isabelle's hand and the others, June's. That was the first time I went marketing with someone besides my mum. The feeling was so different. The sense was strong and I actually feel love was in the air. I gave her a peck while June was selecting a fresh promfret for me. She shyly shunted aside. The fishmonger was staring at us but luckily he knows me as I was a regular customer in this wet market. Hahaha.


Fishmonger: "Wah....today bring girlfriend huh? Soon going to be your wife liao is it?"
Me: "Huh...urrr....no lah.....just friend lah."

Fishmonger: "I don't think so lah. Friend can anyhow let you kiss meh? Then like that I also want. Then everyday alot of ah sohs also kiss me liao!"
Me: "Don't anyhow say hor." I will tell my mother not to buy anymore fishes from you next time!"

Fishmonger: "Hey...you paiseh huh?"
Me: "Ssssshhhh....stop talking lah!"

Fishmonger: "Xiao jie.... you very pretty you know? And with him, both of you got the couple look. Very comparable. Next time your kids shure either handsome or pretty like the both of you. Trust me."
June: "Urrrr......just normal lah."

Fishmonger:" Hey...me uncle never judge wrongly one. I very accurate one. I can even become a fortune teller. Hahaha."
June: " urrrr..."


Fishmonger: "Ok lah.....so xiao jie(Miss.) How's the fish. Don't need to choose so long. My fish sure fresh one. Btw hor. are you here to choose fish or husband huh? hahaha...."
June: "Urrr...."

Fishmonger: "Aiyah...if choose husband, this one sure ok for you. I gurantee for you. I see him grow up. Everytime would accompany his mother to do marketing. Very good boy. Sure will be a good choice for you!"
June: "Urr.....is it?"

Fishmonger: "Aiyah.....sure good one. If not I give you free supply of fishes in future!"
June: "Don't want lah."

Fishmonger: "Hahahaha."
Me: "Hey uncle....don't make me and her malu can? So many aunty can heat your loud voice liao lah!"

Fishmonger: "You paiseh huh?"
Me: "Ok ok ok...I give up on you. How much is the fish?"


Quickly paid the fish and off we left the stall!

Me: "I have known that uncle for many years liao. He always talk alot of rubbish."
June: "He is friendly yah."

Me: "I give up on him!"


So we continued our marketing before we had our breakfast in the hawker center. Isabelle was bored and tired afer walking with us doing the marketing.

Me: "Hi Isabelle, what do you want for breakfast?"
Isabelle: "I eat whatever mummy eats."

Me: "Hi mummy, so what would you like to eat?"
June: "I haven't ate fried carrot cake for a long time liao. I think i would want a white without chilli carrot cake."

Me: "Ok....wait here. I will go and order for you. Shall I also get you a soya bean milk too?"
June: "Hmmm...I want a bowl of warm beancurd."


Soon our carrot cakes and drinks were served. June and I gave a little portion each to Isabelle. Isabelle busy tucking in the food whereas me and June just ate and chat. Soon our food was done. I gotten June and Isabelle to stay at the table whereas I went to packet a few breakfast for my familky members.

Everything was done soon. Just when we were heading back to the carpark, June had a suggestion.

June: "Hi.....I feel like baking cake today."
Me: "Hmmm....sounds good."

June: "Can I get a few dollars from you. I want to get some ingredients."
Me: "Sure....let's go."

June: "Thanks. I want to bake something for your family."
Me: "Thanks on my family behalf. I am sure they will enjoy it."


Time was 9.45am when we were on our way home.
