Actually this dont really falls into this threads forgive me. In 2010 I attend an old classmate wedding dinner. She is Chinese probably 40 years old and, her hubby is ang mo.

A different from Chinese wedding, the mood is pretty quiet and, her hubby ang mo colleague I think gave a speech. He said something like they met at KL, she was busy frying btw 2 countries. They had tried to rewrite history but seniors know the truth. During the VN wars where the world sees boat people. A doc programme says gov being kind and, play out by western countries after the war ended.

True that LKY is not the only man who make Singapore a success story, he has a team of capable men working together to build up Singapore.

That said, LKY is the face of PAP, good or bad, he put himself on the line, taking responsibility for the actions by the PAP government.

A lot of nay-sayers condemn LKY for the ISA detentions of political foes, is it his decision alone ?? I find it funny that others want to say the rest of the founding PAP team did good too, but when it comes to bad policies, LKY always get the blame...

LKY is a leader amongst leader. He has made tough and difficult decisions especially during the nation building period and he has never shied away from taking responsibilities.

I respect him and may his soul rest in peace.
