It is their own tough environment and way of live surviving for many centuries, naturally eliminated the weak useless cowards people living only the Naturally Selected survivors - in accordance with Dawin's Law.

Why are their people strong and solving problems? Why they can win struggles? Why are their weapons made much more reliable and practical? Why are their vehicles most robust and durable? Their own tough environment is the natural test and selection which eliminated the useless lousy craps, including certainly the expensive ones, like weapons SGP purchased from USA. Just look at their civilian vehicles, even school bus, crossing ice cold water without bridge, courage, skill, experience, INSTINCT for survival, always constantly exercised as a normal way of life. No MRT to break down nor complain. They have no road to go to forest but they went and took wood down in ways SGP can not imagine. No ERP to KPKB about. If their vehicle were easy to breakdown like SMRT, they simply had died long ago. No doubt.
