S’pore economy grows 14.7% in Q2, MTI upgrades 2021 growth forecast amid recovery fro

SINGAPORE — Singapore’s economy grew by 14.7 per cent in the second quarter of 2021 compared with the same period last year, though the economy remained slightly below pre-pandemic levels. The strong growth in the latest quarter was largely due to the low base resulting from Covid-19 circuit breaker measures from April to June last year and low external demand during that period.
