Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

For me this season so far for the new players signing are :

1 ) José Enrique
2 ) Craig Bellamy
3 ) Luis Suárez

Hope CB gets fit soon. We need his inspiration . We are solely missing a playmaker in midfield too . We definitely need a couple more strikers of good quality.

yup, for me this season's best signing will no doubt be Jose Enrique. Imo, the last time we had a quality left back was before John Arne Riise left Liverpool for Roma. It was a pity that he fell out with Rafa Benitez after he had scored an own goal in the 95th minute during a Champions League match against Chelsea. Before signing Jose Enrique, we had so many problems at left back. Dossena and Insua were inconsistent while Fabio Aurelio was always out injured. If only Adam, Carroll, Henderson and Downing were as consistent as him.

Craig Bellamy gives the team pace on the wing while he has shown that he is a natural centre forward too.. Considering the fact that we signed him on a free makes him more than just a bargain.

Luis Suarez is our top scorer this season (12 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions this season) Although he has the tendency to hit the deck too often, I still consider him to be a quality player just like what he was at Ajax.

Everton is now ahead of us. Hope this motivates the boys tomorrow. Citeh did us a favour by holding Sunderland to a thrilling 3-3 draw, else Sunderland will also be ahead of us. Too bad Citeh did not win, now hope Blackburn perform heroics against the scums.

If we are to believe rumors and so called insiders, Bellamy will never wear a red shirt again as long as Kenny is in charge, I hope it's just silly rumours.

Just noticed our ex player Kacaniklic had a decent outing for Fulham today and has been on form on loan at Watford, can't believe we gave him to Fulham plus cash for Konchesky

That's true and the wee man has potential. However he is not the finished product and we will have to put up with his occasional poor game and misplaced pass.

What rumours? Am sure the press will have been over this already?

Can share the source of the rumours?

If its true, the offence must really be grave for the manager to banish the player like this.

All is not lost for Citeh yet, though it is looking more difficult. Who in the right frame of mind will have thought that QPR would get 6 pts off Pool and Arsenal?

Tonights game is tough for sure. Enrique has been solid all season, but I see his form dropping a little in the last few games. Ben Arfa likes to cut inside and will pose Enrique a lot of problems. Wingers don get past him, but cutting in onto his weak right foot will pose problems. And of cos, the 2 Senegal strikers will keep Skrtel and Carra busy whole afternoon.

Midfield wise, I think the 2 teams cancel each other out. Tiote and Cabaye will battle Spearo and SG to a standstill.

Our strike force have to bully their central pairing into submission. AC have to show what them it was a mistake letting him go, if he plays.

Hoping for a high scoring game, we just have to score more than them!

Newcastle 2 Liverpool 3

PS: I'm wearing my No. 7 jersey to the temple, see if it works!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Any match against Newcastle will be tough, especially when they are in such a good form at the moment and are playing at home tonight.

Liverpool really need to win tonight because Spurs only needs 4 more wins (or 67 points) from their remaining 8 matches to secure 4th spot, meaning it will be useless even if Liverpool win all their remaining 8 matches.

Now we are 8th in the table, Everton are ahead of us in 7th and lucky Man City drew with Sunderland last night. A win tonight will bring us to within 5 points of Newcastle with 7 matches to play.

CB is what we a spitfire . It is always a pleasure to see him play even though he comes on as a sub. He has the qualities to turn the match around. He has never let us down whenever he plays . I wonder where is he now ?

LS is one of my favourite . If he had not sat out the 9 match suspension , his contribution would have been much more . Hope he stays fit and focus and that he will continue to stay with Liverpool the next season. He is a player definitely worth the price tag.

As for Kelly and Johnson both are good on the right side . If only they can keep fit throughout the season.

Look at this article . Is Kenny on the way out ?

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...return?cc=4716

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish insists he does not regret returning to the club, even if his current spell in charge ends up harming his long-term legacy at Anfield.

PA Photos
Kenny Dalglish has overseen just five home wins this season - Liverpool's worst record at this stage since 1953
Dalglish agreed to step into the void after predecessor Roy Hodgson was sacked in January 2011, initially taking on managerial responsibilities on an interim basis before being given the job full-time after overseeing an upturn in results.

Such an improvement has not been continued - in the league, at least - this season, however, with the Reds currently stranded in seventh after an inconsistent campaign to date that has seen some observers call upon Dalglish to step aside in favour of a new manager with more cutting-edge tactical ideas.

Despite the criticism he has received, Dalglish insists he does not regret his return to the dugout.

"I have said it was an honour to be asked to come back," Dalglish said. "It was unfortunate in the circumstances because Roy had lost his job.

"But I don't see any reason to change my opinion now."

The bright spots for Liverpool this season have come in the cup competitions, with the League Cup already in the trophy cabinet and the chance to reach the final of the FA Cup still well within reach. Dalglish believes his side might need to tailor their approach slightly to bring that sort of success to their league endeavours.

"Maybe our education in how to win a game means we don't need to be the attractive passing team we want to be," he noted. "Sometimes we've got to be more ruthless - it's all part and parcel of learning.

"We can win a game but you've also got to learn how not to lose one. We are good enough to win every game but maybe we've got to learn as well as the players and pass that education on to them.

"But I think we are good enough to beat everybody in the league. We knocked the teams who are first and second in the league out of both domestic cup competitions in January."

I can seen KingKenny's intent to train this chap as a replacement for Lucas. In case Lucas gets injured again . My main concern is that his size is small compared to opposing players and that he may be run over by them. If he can improve on his speed , ball control , and his defensive qualities I am sure he will do well. His weakness will only be that he does not have the height to deal with high balls.
