No Confi material in vehicles so no need to take long time to inspect.
And spore won't b weakened just because nine vehicles are gone.

So why the delay????

Long time ago use LST to ship and no problem. Who's that smart Alec to suggest to use commercial?

Even use commercial, why not direct shipment and go transit in HK? To save some $$$?

Singapore have long lost its competitive, strategic location and technology edge over other/many Countries, including the mighty China, which our Government, Civil Servants and Scholars didn't and 'will not' notice it. 'Will not' because they are too proud to recognise that and still living in their own cocoon and comfort zone!

One also needs street smarts and vagahonds to roam the 'streets' to realise what are happening on the street and react accordingly which our Government lacked, think out of the matrix, out of the box! Our Government managed the Country, Society and International Affairs by the book and law (typical of a book bounded person) which nowadays the strong and powerful rules with a fist when laws rules against their interest (e.g. USA and China)!

1) News first reported by a foreign press .

2) SAF armoured vehicles got impounded by Hong Kong customs

3) SAF use private commercial shipping company to handle the shipment

4) Plenty of news reported by local press .

5) After that total news blackout by you know who .

Questions we should be asking the government :

1) Why are you using a commercial shipping company to ship the SAF equipment ?

2) Isn't the navy logistics able to handle such a simple assignment ?

3) Why the Chinese government is so fast to return the drone to the US and whereas Singapore SAF equipment is still being held at Hong Kong customs ?

4) Why is there a news blackout on the SAF armoured vehicles by the local press .

5) Why is this matter being dragged for so long ?

Technology wise, they're still behind USA n Western Europe. Even their only aircraft carrier isn't new. It's a rebadged Russian vessel.

I think saf in their year end annual accounts decide to write off these nine vehicles la. Once write off, even if don't get back, it's OK. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!
