It has been a while since more than two members of the ADF Family visited motherland together. So, when the son and God-son decided to be in southern China at the same time as me, the obvious choice to meet is DS mainly because GS has never visited the place, and to celebrate this year’s Guang-gun Jie (光棍节) in a less touristy place.
The family spent four days in DS and glad to report that things have all returned back to the good-old-days. I noted quite many new eateries, but no new major SN. We visited four SNs that maintain reasonably good service, including a “hu-dong互动” session with GS. A couple of SN want extra 100 each for the gals for HD. Well, the family that bonks together stays together. We had GGJ party at an old KTV that used to be 147 up till a year and half ago, but now the pricing is two grades of 258 and 369. Unfortunately, inflation has not spared DS, although thankfully it has not been as badly affected by the number of tourists like some other more popular DG towns. There are also at least three large scale KTVs been opened recently, but we have not checked them out. Again, most KTV gals are picky about going out; you must made that a requirement to the mummies for the lineup to avoid any disappointment.
