Another Conned case for 10,000 rmb in Shanghai within 3 weeks
I have just received another PM from Bro Fault (Join Date: Aug 2011),
"Bro, please help. Contacted a girl through wechat and she brought me to a black shop where I think they forced me to pay about 10,000 rmb at a regular ktv claiming I downed 2 bottles. They tried to get me to sign more but i can't remember They wanted to charge me 30K but I think the charge didn't go through.
When I was drunk they got another girl to try to fuck me but I was too drunk to cum. Am still a little drunk now and hopefully they didn't charge my corporate Amex as well. Glad I took out my other cards before meeting the gal.

If the place you visit do not have a big sign board, you are in deep shit!!!

The Rule of the Thumb is when you are out alone, do not to talk to strangers and follow them to whateva premises which they can offer to you cheap deals, pretty gals or entertainment..
This similar case happened to me 7 years ago during my 2 initial weeks in Shaghai.. I got picked up along HuaHuai road.. to some remote KTV and had to fork out 7K rmb for 3 jugs of beer.. I did not carry any credit cards or foreign bank cards with me that night.. I managed to bargain with them till 5K++ rmb for the bill..
Imagine that winter fateful night, I had to withdrawn all money to pay for the bill.. NTF there was a limit to be able to withdrawn 5K rmb cash per day.. I had to hang around in the streets till next morning with no samster bro to contact..

One easy way to test out the gals is ask them to follow u, and not u follow them. Most if not all will not follow u to a decent KTV.
I kana twice, use this trick twice, and it works. Haha.
