Very interesting thread....took me a very long time to read every single post from page 1 till the end....

Really makes me wonder what would it be like if Singapore is still part of Malaysia? Will Singapore become like JB or will JB actually become like Singapore....the latter will only happen if Mr Lee is the PM of Malaysia.


Years spent abroad taught me to appreciate my own country even more....walking down the streets in shirt, shorts, slippers past midnight to find a prata shop for supper....gals can go home unescorted past midnight...

I used to be very anti-pap...thinking the old Mr Lee is damn autocratic and there is no freedom of speech etc....but realized now that I have taken alot of things for granted...the safety, security....and beautiful gals to bonk at nite.

I agree with you that SGP is as peaceful and safe as Japan. It is interesting to note that even if Mr Lee's SGP had not left Malaysia [SGP did not secede in the true sense] it is still impossible for him to be the PM as Malaysian constitution guarantees a Malay [not bumiputra in the legal sense] as PM.

SGP had been differently governed and developed by the British even after independence in 1957 [maybe the British wanted SGP to be another Hong Kong to be kept as a British Colony]. We started differently and the Malay nationalism was more profound in Malaysia, thus most parts of Malaysia had undergone great changes skewed towards the Malay brand of administration.

Come to think of it, what IF the Japanese had not lost the war.....would Malaya and Singapore [Sho-nan-to] be the way they are now? Will Malaya and Sho-nan-to be as peaceful as Japan. One thing is definite...we will be educated in Japanese
