Yo, decent class hotels Bkk are inexpensive (unlike back home). And T21 accessibility within budget reach.

Personally, I have done 2X at FX Furama Asoke (only 10 mins easy walk to T21) past 6 months. Price circa 2300-2500, with brekkie. Boutique hotel, acceptable standard and minus the tourist hordes. Check out TripAdvisor link for unbiased reviews, and Agoda. Think Furama can also give you competitive pricing direct (just enlist FOC their club)

Dunno about The Key, next to Robinsons. But forget Dream, will give you lowdown. Stayed in main block on soi 15 and another nearby block (if they are full and put guests there) years back. Main block is an OLD hotel, and refurbished under a different owner. For king sized bed, the farang next to me checking in complained of extra charge (vs queen sized bed on booking)

Room size and standard, service level lose out to newer Furama FX Asoke (careful there are lesser Furamas in Suk area). And brekkie in Dream sucks, like hospital. I only stayed 1 odd night, before I moved on to another better apartment style hotel on soi 33 (forget name).
