To be honest, I was very lost after Thailand close the door for surrogacy, and I think perhaps marriage is another option.

You got no job and you want to gave 2 children. Can you support 2 children until they are at least 20? If you no, then you are a very selfish and irresponsible person.

When you are 70, your children will be 20 only. You are 50alteady but you think like 20.

i think it is wrong thinking to have a child must support your kids to 20 yr. if everyone think like u, the birthrate decline even faster. I have many friends whose parents are poor, they work part time job during studies, take loan for university school fees. After graduate work extreme hard to clear their loan and this actually make them more independent than those kids whose parents plan and prepare all money for them.

I agreed to your points but at least your friends have a family...this guy dun have a family...at 50 years he is thinking of going to marriage agency....to arrange marriage...so any child born under this condition will not turned out good...so better dun ruin the child...

Lets assume you are thinking about having child to continue you family tree. However based on your existing status which I refer to as NO JOB, AGE 50+, SINGLE is it something that is going to do you good ? There are several question you have to answer yourself first:

1. In the modern world is that very important that you need to continue your family tree if you cannot and you are the only one at the end of the family tree. I am assuming this is one of your reason of your action.

2. You are 50+ and with some saving (I am assuming several hundred thousand if you have in the bank in cash) lets not talk about CPF withdrawal, that is going to be a long way down the road, can you survive yourself with that money and not talking about supporting another 2 or 3 child without any assistant, you have to work who is going to look after the kids. Do you have enough cash for their study and necessary care on daily basis. Sorry or saying the next sentence, are you sure you can live the next 20 years to see thru the growth process of the kids.

3. How sure are you that you cannot meet someone in Singapore that will marry you or are you picky that you want virgin, 16 - 20 years old, Miss World kind of body shape. If that is the case, I really got nothing to say as you are looking at the wrong direction.

I have a friend who is exactly like you with the same kind of thinking except he is looking forward to PRC. Today he is saying, I better stay single and fxxx around, what comes along just take it. Stay together or a permanent FB will do. Don't bother for Kids as I may not see thru the process and if I depart this world she is still young and will go for another man and if I marry her I am at the loosing end as she will inherit all my property and money and go for another man.

I guess there are more other questions that you have to answer yourself before you will figure out which direction you want to head for.

I am NOT WORKING because I can afford to, therefore I am in EARLY VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT. I had my landed property fully paid up and not on housing loan.
Of course I had think about financing the education for the children, I missed marriage simply because I was based in UK as a director partner of a law firm.

having kids is a responsibilty not a right and if you are not capable or prepared to support a child till they 20 then u shouldnt have any right to have kids...sure great if you offer but you kids want to be independent kudos to u...
i have over 7 figures in assets but still not dare have kids as i wonder if i can really provide all i can to my future children...
