I have a feeling, that the drastic decrease in business in Geylang is the major reason why government turn into furious action against MP.

Been to geylang after a long while, happen to chat with the geylang girl, who tell me their bosses are handling the outrage of MP which take over all their business. I believe those bossed put in a lot of effort to complain and make a hoo-haa so that government turn a serious look into their issue.

Eventually lead to the situation now

I believe also it's the legal businesses that complain. You never know maybe some of the legal ones are owned by relatives of those that call the shots. Or some authority figures actually have a share or sleeping partner of legal shops. That's what prompted all this sudden uptick in raids.

I am surprised until now regulation like early closing time can be passed without going through the rigour of logical questioning. No one point out to the minister that there are hardly any customers during day office hours?

Do u know why there are so many such shops? Because those girls working there or even the boss of the shop have been kana caught by av before in previous license massage joint.

Cat 1 or 2 they all raid. Just HJ shop they also raid. Smlj they also raid.

It's their only rice bowl or skill set to earn such income. They can't possible be Uber drivers or office lady typing ms words isn't it?

Actually those who are busted will be fined and sent home if they are on contract or work pass. Those who keep coming back to the scene are often citizens, not even PRs. PRs run the risk of having their green card revoked or not renewed. These days, it seems the average MLs are less likely to jeopardise their ricebowls for a tip. The ones who will still oblige the occasional HJ are the old birds in the trade, who know how to keep vigil.
