Only concern is a budget room in a hotel since first time in china on my own.

Go stay in Lion (xiong Xi or male lion)hotel. Tel : 86-76-3332198. Since yr arrival is on a Sunday, the standard room cost only cost 150rmb(S$31) while the deluxe room is 240rmb. the standard room is good enough. Since it's a Sunday, don't need to book in advance...just walk-in will do.

It's a good day to go..... many choices and lower prices everywhere.
