Happened to be at PPC this afternoon, so just walked around to recce a little, but 2nd and 3rd floor back row was like OMG a ghost-town. No come-ons from those PRC, like almost pulling you in like before. Must have been raided by AV a day or 2 before.

Looks like AV is super On-the-Ball lately, maybe to fill their quota before the year end or for the extra Bonus or got instruction from up there as election is coming. Sort of spring cleaning la.

Kind of got a point there. Look at Joo Chat in the past, CAME out in the press and TV. You think AV not going to work on it? The MP got so much complain and therefore has to do something also.

But for PPC and PC, the PRC goes there as it is the CHINATOWN what. You can see in many other parts of the world, chinese usually flock to chinatown and stay there when they first arrive in that country. So it is not unusal for them to stay around where the chinese are most.

I know many of other asians stay in their respective "towns" like the viet and thai and so on. It gives them a sense of sercurity because their own people is around.

Therefore, it is not surprising that you find a lot of PRC or PDMM working in TN, what other skills they have? Maybe a job somewhere? In a office?

most of d PDMMs i knw r either divorced or have problems in their marriage. PDMMs come to sg to earn more $$$ n in search for a better life, more for their children's future rather than themselves. they r that selfless! skills wise other than wkg as waitresses, cleaners or store helpers there r not much alternatives, no offences. but naturally PDMMs wont settle for less since they come all d way to sg. hence TN may b d onli avenue for making d best $$$. but tis days, with d influx of younger PRCs it's much more difficult for PDMMs to make extra dough. gone r d days when tis PDMMs r QUEENs in d TN industry, which was so lucrative that many that I know r rich enuff to open their own shops or start a business in China.

Yeah, some tried to be home tutors in Chinese or hotel chamber maids or even part-time housemaid, etc. Now, due to competition from those younger masseuses, PDMM got to do the decent massage kind. Unless, she is that young and that good looking to get some HJ now and then.

come to thk of it, tis PDMMs oso quite poor thing. when they 1st started in d TN biz they muz have been so optimistic of a real bright future ahead in s'pore. $$$ was then so easy to make - shake shake for a HJ, u get 30, 40, 50 bucks n sometimes even tips. fuck fuck, u get 80, 100 bucks n mayb tips. 1 day u can easily get more than 5 customers, multiply that by 30 days (they do not have any breaks) they can easily hit more than $6k (that's very modest!) in earnings/mth.

however d TN novelty was shortlived. their good years probably lasted like onli 2 to 3 yrs. after that we saw d influx of mei meis, which affected d PDMMs' earnings considerably.

so wat can tis PDMMs do for d rest of their lives in s'pore? they can still earn a decent living here but their takings has nosedived. tis days they may get like onli avg 3 or 4 TN customers/day (they onli get half of d 30 bucks hourly fee), occasionally will still get a HJ or 2 but not many for FJ. minus off their rental expenses n monthly remittance bk home (which i heard could be half their sal) they would not have massive savings.

returning bk to homeland is not ideal as young children still schooling n themselves will earn much much less salary. many of them i knw would ideally like to see their children complete their education (up to degree) in s'pore, return bk to China to work n start their families. themselves will probably love to work here for anthr 10-15 yrs here n return bk to China n retire, take care of grandchildren.

for now, i guess d PDMMs will have to work very hard n endure til their children complete their education here. nevertheless, no matter how badly affected their earnings they r still much better off than what many of our female workers (n mayb many of us in SB!) are drawing!!!

very little touting was seen. some of them seemed to be wary whenever a guy walked past. she would scrutinise him fr head to toe (smell got any hints of AV), then when she saw dat u r 'normal' will ask softly if u wanna TN. unlike previously they will wave at u, then say wanna talk to u lah .. n when u seem interested they will start pulling u in.

missed d gd old days of bein pampered but for d sake of d tenants it's gd oso lah. as long as they behave themselves i dun thk AVs will treat them lim kopi so frequent.

They shd have done this earlier to prevent unnecessary inconvenience to them. Hope they will learn and don't 本性难移. New year is coming, i wish PPC & the PRC gals (though i always bring bad luck to them) a happy and peaceful new year.....
