Since it is the 1st time you go, i think you really have a very bad experience down there. What i can propose is walk a few more step down the basement to check it out in thailand disco. I was there the past two night and i simply enjoy myself!

If this person really is High-class or High flyer person or even personally know REAL high-so Thai people here to visit Singapore , He wouldnt even bother to take them to GM (except to grab some authentic thai food)
