It has been a rough couple of weeks at work. Kate tendered her resignation unexpectedly as well, not sure why though, she seemed to be fitting in well, and was really close to Rebecca.

Shirlyn eventually contracted Covid too and Rebecca wasn't very productive after recovering from Covid.

I felt like I was working alone in the office, even though everyone else who was around were doing their own things.

I started having more lunches with Cheryl and Joan, together with Jasmine of course, sometimes even Ken joined us.

Based on their interactions, it seemed like Cheryl and Ken were still fucking.

Since I moved back into Jasmine's place we took turns driving to work, eventually just using her car as it was a normal plate and we didn't have to leave the house at ungodly hours. Even so, I was the one driving while she took a nap on the drive to work.

Shirlyn's covid seemed to take forever to recover and she was away for more than 7 days, and her work just kept piling up. I tried my best to help wherever I could for the things I could do, but it was a little difficult considering we were at different levels.

Eventually, she asked if I was willing to drop off some documents at her place so that she could work from home properly.

I did so on a day we both drove to work as Jasmine had an offsite meeting in the morning and would only go to the office in the afternoon. We had a quick dinner at the hawker centre while I waited for 7pm to head over to Shirlyn's place.

I dropped her a text and she came out, hilariously wearing what looked like triple masks.

S: You wanna come in?

Me: Yeah. Why not?

S: I'm not infectious already but just taking precautions.

Me: I'm not afraid of Covid.

S: Right. Wait till you get it. I couldn't even drink water.

We sat down in her living room as she got me a drink and I updated her on the stuff that I managed to clear and what was still outstanding.
