Re: Tieng Viet lovers club
Saw something useful in the Youtube comments of learning vietnamese from Bud Brown:
Chao is used for someone at your age/level. But to be polite & respectful we use "Thu*a" when speaking/referring to: a crowd, uncle/auntie (parents age): thua chu, bac, cau, co, di elders (grandparents age): thua ong, thua ba or sometimes thua ong bac/ba bac South Viet (uncles & aunties = parents siblings) mom's older/younger brother: cau mom's " " sister: di dad's big brother: bac " " younger brother: chu " " older/younger sister: co we also use thua when leaving: Thua Ong/Ba/uncle/auntie/ con ve..has to be con for "I"..never use "toi" Mom's side Di's husband = du*o*.ng (uncle in-law) Cau's wife = mo*. (aunt in-law) Dad's " " Chu's wife = thi'm (aunt in-law) Bac's wife = also bac Co's husband = also duong North Viet they use con (for I) when speaking to their parents, but when conversing with uncles/aunties/ong ba they use cha'u. "Thua ong chau ve"...south viet hardly use chau...

Anh Hien can be a name of someone, can be a gal or even guy.
Anh Hien can also be interpret as Brother Hien. Why not u call the number and listen whether the person is a man or woman?

Re: Tieng Viet lovers club
Extract from Youtube comments:
Addressing brother/sister in the family: 1st born: (anh hai) for girl (chi hai) sec born: (anh ba) for girl (chi ba) 3rd born: (anh thu) for girl (chi thu) 4th born: (anh nam) for girl (chi nam) The south also use "con út" for the youngest, but I heard most people use "con lớn" for the oldest. For example: con trai lớn của tôi (my oldest son). They also use "con đầu lòng" (first born child), con trai đầu lòng, con gái đầu lòng. **The north name the child order like this: anh cả, anh hai, anh ba, anh tư etc.
