Sometimes it is best to cut loss when it is time to do so. Hanging on a relationship that was great in the past but starting to turn sour... is only going to cause more heartache later. Really a fantastic story... You kept me occupied for the past few hours reading and finishing your thread. But u dug out plenty of memories with my ex stimulating my mind to pen my story too... A r/s that changes my life for the past 6 years... It has been tough... Real tough... Only recently that things turn better and hopefully it will get better..
 Anyway, I truly enjoy yr story yet sharing the emotions that are going through your mind all this while. Take care TS and my humble 5 points for you...

bro...i know how u feel...that kind of feeling...that kind of 'once in a lifetime is enough' feeling..
i have gone through patches as well i divorced my wife for her, have no access to my 2 precious kids which also mean the world to me... but i got was always despair, despair and more despair... i was in the illegal line of collecting 4d, soccer betting and mahjong cheating...earning money to get by...everyone was surprised y a degree holder like me is in such trades... however, i woke up after meeting her...stopped all my activities and went to find a decent job that only pays $2k plus a mth, and even has to work on saturdays! things began to happen...things began to be taken for granted...i work for money...spent lesser times..and things got outta hand..i TRULY understand how u feel... this happened recently...and i am still in pain...undeniably, i teared after reading your story..be it fiction or non-fiction... guys can be vulnerable at times... i absolutely have no problem finding other gals, but y am i holding on? she is sick today..and i am wondering shld i just follow the usual routine to tabao porridge and leave it at her place and leave quietly? shld i move on? some ppl came into your lives, leave their footsteps and left, and u are never the same again... some advise from bros here pls??its painful...

bro, u must be strong. i am sure alot of the bros here, me included, have a some sort of similar story. but still, thank you for your story and i really sincerely wish you would be able to get over it asap. i know certain feelings and memories will never fade but what you can do is to frame these up and treat them just like you would do to a picture hanging on your wall. (take a look sometimes, ignore most of the time)
