Generally, a person who wants to 'shake leg' will seek an easy job, if possible, to sustain a living. This is same throughout for everybody. But a person who hang onto this mentality consciously is going to have a hard time in life and be unhappy. "if given a choice, everybody will like to shake leg on a throne", but I think even if this chance (not choice) is given, that particular person with this mentality will still not be happy.

My perspective is always towards happiness. Not that I'm a motivation speaker for a real estate agency or something, but I've been in many relationships in which my ex always need to hang onto something which they think will generate their happiness, which usually is so influenced by their mates and friends that spending money is always THE form of happiness. In my experience, even if I spend full time on them and everything I earn to her, their needs actually returned back to the most basic level, to continually seek higher living standard (and not self fulfilment).

Its quite funny, cos all they do is to buy stuff they dun need, go out with friends they dun like, dressed up nicely for parties which they would come back with discoloured make-ups and puking like shit. So each time, I would asked, 'so are you now happy with your own life even if I'm not here?' She would cry and say no. I asked 'why, you have everything you wanted isn't it?' and most of my ex will usually say, all that doesn't matter, they dun make me happy anymore.

When I started out, I used to get angry seeing them drink and have fun until they forget who they are. Then I stopped. I realised you cant force someone to find happiness, they must get it themselves. The poor will always look for lifestyles of the rich and the really rich will look for simplicity. At the end of the day, what they want is to be another person, and being happy is not even in the equation at all. They'll say, I think I will be happy if I can have her rich lifestyle, but the condition is fixed at 'her rich lifestyle' and sadly, not at getting happy.

So if you ask me, whether they just want to shake leg at home becos they're lazy, I'll say no. They are after that imaginery lifestyle. If they're lazy, they wouldnt even come to Singapore. And you can actually see their bid to have a better lifestyle, they have goals like I have to make 50k before I go back to China or something. But back in China, that money can only sustain them a while becos they are maintaining that better life. So the next immediate goal becomes to get a rich carrothead, can sustain longer. After this carrothead, comes the next bigger carrothead. It'll just go on and on. Until they finally get married and ask their own daughter to do the same thing, only to be wiser now and hook a big carrothead at first go. The cycle continues.

Somehow, if we are also like that, we will fall into their trap very easily. Short term enjoyment and very high risk if we want to commit. To be frank, if our good bro ts is thinking longer term happiness, he should be placing more emphasis into making himself more valuable to get higher income. That's probably the fastest way to be with the girl, and be truly happy. My opinion only, sorry for the lohsoh-ness.
