If I am not wrong, there are only about 6-7 customers around 2.15 to 3PM as I arrived within this time-frame. I was kinda surprised that no one was caught too even though I saw two blokes who went into the rooms slightly earlier than me. Perhaps these two blokes were in the midst of being massaged when the AV officers arrived. Some maybe given the tip-off not to go in first and hence, they must be frolicking in the sauna/steam bath or jaccuzzi.

Yes, business resume as per normal as I saw a couple of customers unknowingly walking in ... My massage time was extended but I did not proceed with the #%@* & the massage as the gal was very freightened. So we only did some frenching & petting ...

BTW, the IMF conference was over since 20 Sep.

AV officer is not exactly police and they have no right to body serach me unless they have a search warrant or if I am caught red handed, agree? Anyway, I can say I don't trust the locker and hence, I brought the wallet in.

If AV officer is not exactly police then what are they? Security guards? No carry pistol doesn't mean they are any less than a policeman...

There is no need for a search warrant for them to body search u. There is even no need for them to produce a search warrant to barge into your house as long as an ASP is around. Dun watch too much Hong Kong movies, their law doesn't apply universally...

I been to DHC only recently, and found the concept too open, I mean, the "kwa zui" r unable to detect movement along the corridor and anyone can barge into any room anytime.

In fact,I think DHC should ensure that the corridors got kwazui to prevent people from barging in. Or else, who will feel secure while enjoying the happy hours? DHC too many corridors liao.

Other HC pretty straightforward, just one or two corridors. Any funny movements, straight away activate early warning system and we got 10 s to react, like shuttle run.

Looks like AV has a new type of raiding method, pretend to be customer and then charge into the room. siao liao.

I better put socks at the door to act as stopper. hahaha

Well, perhaps you're ignorant. Do allow me to elucidate ... AV Officer has different set of authorities compare to a police officer. Their authority are restricted to anti-vice offence. They can't check on a civilian on the street but a police officer can. They can't conduct a search of a civilian house but a police officer can. AV officer like custom officer whom you commonly seen in checkpoint also carries revolver but similarly, they don't and are not authorised to check a civilian on the street. Exception is, when the civilian is walking in the premises of say, woodland checkpoint suspiciously, in this case, they have the right to check on that person. What I am trying to drive at is, their role is restricted to a certain extent compare to a police officer. In case you are not aware, I can object to a body search even from a police officer if I am not a suspect and/or not caught red-handed with an offence. I can sue them for invading a civilian privacy. For your info, a police officer will not and legally not allowed to barge into a civilian apartment WITHOUT valid reason. One can lodge a complaint against the police department if they abuse their authority. Another example would be, CIB who is restricted to white-collar commercial crimes. Hope you're crystal clear now and remember, you have to know your rights as a civilian. Do not think police or AV officers are big shot & you have to "kow tao" to them just because they are under the umbrella of Ministry of Home Affairs.

I think AV raid at DHC is not a standard raid..

In a standard raid, you need a police van, and a team of uniformed police officers..


If the number of officers in a raiding party are too small, without a team of uniform police officers accompanying them, you can say they (they are just close colleagues eager to show off their authorities) are acting on their own accord , without any approval from higher-ups..


You can say they (close colleagues) are misusing their authority, ( misuse of police passes )..

Perhaps you are right, bro Ang ... I don't see any police officer accompanying them (I only saw 2 AV officers, not sure about the exact number). Or perhaps just a routine check to find up if there is any illegal WL. They did not even approach or question me while I was in the massage room. In fact, they are not authorised to do so since I have not committed any offence at that point in time. They can only check on the WLs and the management of the health centre as an AV officer.

Coming to think about it, a Custom or AV officer does not carry revolver. Those armed officers guarding the checkpoint premises are either police officers or Gurhkas. If they need to arrest a civilian, they need to be accompanied by a police officer and/or CID officer.

I am not sure but I only saw two officers. Any bro happened to be at DHS around 3.10 PM (time when the AV officers arrived) can verify on the number of officers present?
