Caltex petrol station
Years ago I heard someone saying that this Caltex petrol station is owned/partly-owned by the Tengku Mahkota Johor ( i.e. the Johor Sultan's son)

Re: Caltex petrol station
Same here, except I heard it only recently. Among all the petrol kiosk, this Caltex has the best location for those heading to SG.

Re: Please be careful - Daylight Robbery
No point putting yourself at risk for few bucks savings on cigarettes, petrol, supermarket groceries & seafood makan. If you really have business there then no choice but use common sense to be safe la

No petrol station is really safe in johor but those near to 2nd link is relatively safer ( facing singapore side ) because it will be difficult for them to U-turn if u decide to give chase.

Anyway, read the papers today that Malaysia is planning to make Singapore cars pay usual market rate for petrol ( S$1.50-S$2 ) per litre on top of a RM 20 entry fee. That will help save Singaporeans lives I think and clear up the jam

Re: Please be careful - Daylight Robbery
It is indeed true that the crime rate has significantly increased. For my situation, I was on my way back from Kuala Lumpur with my friend few days back in his MPV (Toyota Alphard V6). We stopped by the R&R at Pagoh to fuel up my MPV at Mobil station. The petrol station is packed mostly with Singapore registered vehicles.
As we were waiting behind a Singapore registered motorcycle (a superbike actually), the car in front of this Indian guy has finished pumping petrol and left but this Indian guy did not move his bike towards the pump after a good 5 minutes. My friend then honked politely (less than 10 milli-seconds) to notify him that it's his turn, but this fucker turned back at my dad and showed him his hand saying loudly "Can't you wait?" We then waited another further 5 minutes, and seems like this guy is putting a stall on us. I found out that the pump attendants were actually changing shifts so cash transaction has to be put on hold. As I found this situation, I told my friend to pump first. My friend then drove ahead of his motorcycle and parked in front of him as that was the only vacant pump at that moment (others are being lined-up). My friend then took out his credit card and inserted it into the machine reader. This fucker then shouted, "Bloody hell! I'm here first! Can't you wait?" My friend straight away shoot him back, "You have stalled 10 minutes of my time! You still need to wait for the attendant to change shift, and I am using a credit-card!" That Indian guy literally was silenced for a while but I can see him rather pissed off. Next thing to happen is damn holy shit, one guy came out of the petrol mart seems to be his passenger who has just paid cash to the counter. After talking in Tamil, this friend of the motorcyclist took his helmet and smashed my friends MPV's tail-lights. Mahai.... Luckily I was well-prepared with my friends steering-lock bar at the front-passanger's cushion. I quickly armed myself and swayed the bar on his head. That guy was not hurt because he was still wearing his helmet. Those 2 guys then sped off in their motorbikes. The next thing we did was giving them a chase but hell, their motorcycle is a superbike category and my friends MPV has an electronically limited speed of 180km/h. In addition to that we are hearing loud-wind sounds in the rear due to broken head-lamps. We then stopped by Yong Peng to log a police-report and gave them the registration number and how the incident took place. Something we did not understood was how the heck could the superbike travelled such long distance if his tank wasn't even fueled? __________________________________________________ _______________ Note: This article is based on personal-true life experience and subject to copyright. The original author does not have any prejudice towards any people / race in the society.[/QUOTE] brother, the suspects were singaporeans as well? I guess their bike is not quite empty. Superbike has quite a good decent fuel tank capacity ( we dont call it superbike for nothing ) I once jabbed my rusty penknife into the eyes of one robber too in a petrol station near Custom. I was in my car. My two other friends were in another car. Somehow, two malay bikers suddenly rode up to one of my friends ( pumping petrol ) while another fren went inside to buy things. I was pumping too and guess the robbers dint know my fren wasnt alone. I saw a knife pointed at my fren and my fren gave them his wallet.. Once they sped ( towards me ) off, I jabbed the penknife RIGHT into the eyes of the rider.. he fell on the spot. My friend yelled robbery! All hell broke loose. The pillion rider, amidst all confusion, managed to RUN ON FOOT AWAY into the crowd, leaving his injured blind kawan behind. We still kicked his groin and everywhere, stepped on him to vent our anger while the penknife is still STRUCK inside his eye. The polis dint turn up even after 1 hours of bashing. Think he was almost dead. The Malaysians were so angry that they kicked and kicked his head like a ball. At least 100 of them take turns to come up and vent their fustrations. You know that they really harbour DEEP HATRED for snatch theft or robber and treat them as rapists. Then we decided to save him a life and drag his lifeless body into our vehicles and drove into an oil palm planation further into Pontain which took us 30 minute. WE threw him there and drove off. I have had more than 10 attempted robberies in Johor alone since 15 years ago. It doesnt matter u walk in, take 170 in or drive in. The robbers will target anyone. And I have at least 15 friends coming in daily into Singapore to work. Of these 15, around 4 has been robbed once so far and ALL had friends who were robbed before. 2 weeks ago, after pumping petrol at 12am and on my way to Singapore from inner Johor, I was tailed by two indians on motorbike and I sped all the way up to 160km/hour to shake them off. Lucky they riding the mini-bikes.

Re: Please be careful - Daylight Robbery
I encountered a similiar incident in JB too. An old proton swerved into my lane abruptly, so I high beamed and held the horn. The proton turned on its hazard lights & eased to the roadside. I followed suit and got a fucking shock, when I saw 5 Indians getting out. I redlined, and sped off. Lucky is some old proton, else I wont be here typing away.
