Here in Malaysia we used to be able to get 3-6 months of prescription medications after every visit to the hospitals...... but this policy has changed in the past year.

Hi Seniors. I see that prep is most effective after 7 days of dosage and some other websites mentioned (with one other comment here) that you can also just take 2 pills, 2 hours before action. Can I check if the 2 pills is true? Thinking if I should go pulse bangkok then wait 2 days or just get it in SG. Not sure how much the hiv test will cost since have to test before getting the meds

1 pill after 24 hrs till you stop action.

7 days was for a longer plan cycle.

any recommendation where to get the daily prep in SG?
I read seems like the on-demand prep is not ok if the action will be done multiple days and not yet proven for vaginal action.
and obviously can't wait 7 days in bangkok before the action..

If you want to be fully safe, start the prep 2 days before. I did, and is basically one pill a day till you stop action.

It’s been a month since my unprotected sex every day in Bangkok.
I am fine and I had best time banging girls raw. I do it all over again no issues because I like sex without condom. Condom does not do it for my dick and that me not because I don’t want to use it.

I actually didn’t learn about prep before going on this trip. But thanks to folks here I got mine reasonably cheap. $32aud.

I bought another bottle since I still have prescription and they expire 2027 so no issues.

From clinical testing, PreP on demand (2 pills on 1st day before sex, 1 pill a day for next 2 days) is only documented to be effective for men who have sex with men.

If you having sex with a lady, clinical trials suggest that it has a high rate of prevention (iirc, >90% prevention) if you start taking 1 pill a day 7 days before sex.

Recently i went to the clinic, the doctor also recommended the on demand method. But i scared, i doing the 7x7 method instead.

7 days daily 1 pill before trip, daily 1 pill during the trip and 7 days daily 1 pill after the trip.

But after all, please take hiv test before using prep. Taking prep while being hiv positive will make the treatment more resistant.

Those that have been visiting the HIV clinics in LOS..... some bad news. I was told they need to adjust their fees now as part of their funding has been cut. They are partly funded by USAID which has stopped supporting their HIV programmes.
