Re: Anyone care to share their experiences at DSC?
Collin_23 thanks for the confidence booster. I do feel alittle better but still fear lingers. Partially contributing to my fears is that I currently also have 3 sexual partners which all I do raw. 2 of them got bf. I have been very uncomfortable with the thought that somewhere down the grapevine their bf may contract something and I may become a victim as well as a culprit at the same time. I have been stopping my sexual acitivities in preparation to face the test. I guess thats the least I can do to be a responsible person.
Morale is very low now. But I still thank you for your advise. Kudos to you and all bros out there with the courage. |

Re: Anyone care to share their experiences at DSC?
bro WeiSiaoBao:
better to know ASAP than later. Because if you're talking about HIV (and stuff like syphilis), it will come eventually anyway. And the later it comes to make the infected know, the more ferociously it comes—to the point where it cannot be hidden, and cannot be controlled or pushed away for a time. anyway, really. DSC is not that scary lah. it's like any clinic--only it specialises in STDs. (Actually, I happen to come across a doctor who handles o/r skin conditions there better some monkey dermatologists in private practice. That one plus subsidised drugs etc, makes one consider cooking up some excuse to go see this doctor (if he's still there) for any skin problems...) So just go there, right up to the counter and say you want to take all the tests, or see a doctor for something that looks funny, and I'll bet you the counter staff will just talk to you and ask you for your IC and money as if you were going to pay for HDB parking or something. Like normal. nothing to worry about. but if you're really worried about HIV test and results etc--go to the AfA anonymous testing on the same premises on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. then do the other tests/examinations with the DSC people proper. --perry Quote:

Re: Anyone care to share their experiences at DSC?
Oh yea. Also ah--since the DSC has so much publicity here, I hope the DSC doesn't become like the NSC like that.. Suddenly must call for appointment one lah, no walk-ins and wait for weeks to see a doctor. And then get whacked with specialist charges etc. No more subsidies etc.

bro WeiSiaoBao
I completely emphatise with you. I think we all have the same experiences in dealing with fear and anxiety that comes along the uncertainty whether we have it or not. Hey man, dont worry so much. Do the test...stop living in fear and get back control of your life. Iknow its easier said then done but...you dont have to be scared anymore. destroy the shithole u living in and annihilate your fear thats consuming you. Confront the fear and strike it down. Re: Anyone care to share their experiences at DSC?
Remembered either last month or 2 months ago, I visited DCS as reported in this forum and was counselled by an Indian Lady supposedly to be an AIDS expert, before they gave you an AIDS test. The conversations was rather seriously and till this date vividly still can recall what happens in the interview process. It was quite a traumatic experience and I couldn't sleep well for that week while waiting for my test result as my mind was pondering over the scenario of happenings should I really got AIDS and joined the AIDS networks patients. Fortunate the results was negative but they still keep a record of my medical history there.
The best solution is to stop those commercial sex, even how careful you are, there still a loop holes that one day you might be affected with these sexual diseases. I always be careful one, always asked the wl to cap me before the act but many a times these wl don't take your instruction but just follow what is the norms or practice in their trade. For instant, that afternoon after the test result, happpens to be with client at JB HC so we go for a short relieve. Specially told this gal to cap me while dealing with my little bros, she comply only before the insertion, but when she cat bath me she straight away giving me a strong BBBJ and deep throat infact, oh mmy gosh, wasting all my effort to clear all my medical doubts, now had to repeat my medical test cycle over again. This is not the very first time it happens, subsequently I visited other HC in JB, all gals there automatically gave you BBBJ, and it seems to be their standard. That is why I said unless you stop frequent these places else is a matter of days you will still get STD.....damned it, now I am in deep shit again......... |

Re: Anyone care to share their experiences at DSC?
Bro gigantic, actually BBBJ without cap exposes you to STD but rarely aids. So I think its unlikely for you to contract HIV from that. You are right about abstaining from commercial sex will reduce chances of infection but lets face it, all of us here are hot blooded males with raging hormones. Just play it safe if you have to, otherwise, be a good husband/bf, or be a monk.

Re: Anyone care to share their experiences at DSC?
Can any brother tell me what is the procedure for anonymous blood testing on Wednesday evenings at DSC? I've personally never been there and have so far done my testings with a private doctor. The only problem with the private doctor is that they can only give me the results about three days later, and if I am planning to go for a business trip overseas that is a bit of a bummer.
Catlover -- you say that the anonymous testing is fast. How fast? Usually within one hour can be done, or not? |

Re: Anyone care to share their experiences at DSC?
Interesting thought fugitivezzz. It is not impossible, in fact it will be a messy affair, not so much of confusion. So if you believe in karma, what goes around will come around. Its only a matter of when. Normally I find that gals who are "attached" and still play, are in an unstable relationship. Either that or they are nymphos. The latter is rare while the former is very common. I am not an expert but thats from my experience. If you treat them nice, listen to their problems and give them practical and objective advise, you will easily gain trust and everything will fall in place soon after. You will become their best guy fren as well as fuck buddy. The best thing here is there is no deceit. Everything is clear as crystal, no committment, no stress. Therefore, your life with your steady gf is more or less unaffected and she has no reason to look for an alternative if there are no problems with your relationship. Just my 2 cents worth.

Re: Anyone care to share their experiences at DSC?
Same as on Saturday afternoons.
Go in; pay $20, fill out form (anonymous form, questions about you, your sexual exposure and survey questions) and give it to the counter person who will give you receipt with sticker of corresponding number to the number of your form. Sit and wait for a counselor to pick up your form and call out the number. Follow counselor into room. Explain your exposure. Counselor will evaluate your risk and tell you and go through the drill about proper condom use etc. Then you go out of the room. Counselor will then take your form and drop it into the postbox opening of the door at the end of the office. Wait for another counselor (the one on duty to do the testing) to call your number, go into room. After you get alcohol swabbing your finger, the fresh catheter is freshly opened up in front of you, your receipt and the strip are matched for numbers (so no mix up in who's test is whose), then your finger is pricked, your blood drips onto the rapid test strip, you are given cotton swab to stop your bleeding. Stop bleeding, then go out and wait. Wait in front of the first counselor you saw. You will be called when the first counselor gets your results. Sometimes very fast, sometimes takes a while--anywhere from 12 to 30/40 minutes--depending on the counselor and how many people are getting tested. When the first counselor calls you in, then tells you the result. Maybe a reminder on the proper use of condom in future, and ask you to come again after 6 months from your last exposure date, or chase you out (because your risk is low) and ask you to come again after 6 months from your last exposure date. Counselors are different, and have an impact on your talking/counselling time, waiting time etc. Usually, the lao jiaos are faster or simply better because they can read you and your situation more efficiently, and the new ones take more time and a little more preachy etc. But they're all good. If your business trip is in Bangkok, can also do a rapid test over there at an anonymous clinic setup by the Red Cross. Hope that helps. --perry Quote:
