In some ang moh countries, another term for house-husbands is "domestic engineers". When filing their income tax, the occupation indicated is domestic engineer. In most parts of Asia, house husbands are frowned upon (eat soft rice).

Male domestic helpers are common in countries where the movement of females are restricted. The homes they work in are however large enough to have an outhouse where the workers are housed -- away from the family.

I doubt any of us here will want to have a 18 to 30-year-old MALE domestic worker in your home, esp when it's an apartment. Get real.

I'm not surprised about such news because Australian news reports such world issues openly without censorship. This kind of barbaric act is common in such countries. Very disturbing and depressing but it is fact of life. Pity those women there.
