Hope All these are infomative.. As for map.. I think there is a program for u to convert.. Anyway, this is the Link for the map
haha, been all these places with my Dancer too. These pics certainly borght bck memories -enough to go relook at all our photios we took then at these places.

Best part about Doi Tung was when it started to Drizzle a little and mist started forming. It was really nice, and lend a very romantic environment to the whole place.

Golden Triangle also is when her parents joined us, and they had never been there! It was the 1st time I met them. Wonderful folks. Remembered I wanted to buy them some souvenoirs but they dun want to waste my money as they felt things were expensive.

Another nice place is the All-White Temple in Chiangrai (forgot the name liao)

No, it's off a major road although you need to drive or take a taxi. It is maybe 15 minutes drive from Chiang Rai south on the way to Phan (the next town).

There is an art gallery there as well - the principal donor of the funds required to build this temple is a Thai artist. He does airbursh work I believe.

Thanks. The pics are beautiful.

Brings back fond memories of The White Temple. I can still remember the Artist was still painting the big mural (picture) of Buddha on the wall when I visited the unfinished temple with my Dancer, and he told us about his inspiration to do the painting. We saw the completed picture on a piece of paper and the divided it into squares and had drawn "similar squares" on the wall. Glad for that experience to meet with the man himself.

haha... looking at these photos sure brings back memories.

still remember every evening 6pm local time, the thai national anthem will be played at the Mae Sai border check point and everyone has to stop whatever they are doing. Those walking halfway will have to stand still until the song ends. kena a few times myself.

good to know that this small town is appreciated.... and loved nontheless
