Here are the pointers for first timers to Shenzhen, and a memory jogger for experienced members.

First, do get yourself a map of Shenzhen.

Geography

First study the geography of Shenzhen.

These are the only districts that you'll be interested in Shenzhen.

1. Luo Hu District (Most Happening side of town)

2. Fu Tian District (2nd Most Happening side of town)

What you may not be interested would be:

3. Nan Shan District (Mostly Residential Estates, Logistics & Light to Medium Industries)

4. Yan Tian District (Mostly Light Industries, Logistics, & Residentials)

5. Long Hua District (Industrial Area, Jurong of Shenzhen, nothing much)

6. Bao An District (Industrial Area, Logistics, Residential, Airport etc.)

For 1. Luo Hu District:

Places of Interests:

i. Dong Men (Shopping Paradise)
I. True Color Disco & Pub (Largest True Color)

ii. Xiang Xi Chun (Entertainment Village)
I. BetterOle KTV (Best in town)
II. Queen Spa & Dining (Best Massage Palour in town)-> Clean, no specials
III. Hawaii Massage Palour (Good Quality, budget MP) -> Clean, no specials
IV. Small clusters of BBS
V. Numerous Restaurants
VI. FACE Disco
VII. Many other Disco & KTV scattered around
VIII. Super K Karaoke (good quality Karaoke systems, no companions)

iii. Cai Wu Wei Chun (Mini Entertainment Village, more like a village central)
I. Small clusters of BBS
II. Carnival Massage Palour (Good Quality Massage Palour) -> Clean, no specials
III. Numerous village foods (advised against trying those if you have weak stomach)

Sperminator,, Jusco Shopping Complex / CITIC Square (Zhong Xin Guang Chang) is very close to Lowu district and the divide between Lowu and Futian districts is HongLin Rd. CITIC and the BBSs are in the Bading Jie vicinity and actually falls within Futian jurisdiction.

Regarding your area description of Shenzhen, Jusco located in CITIC square is in Futian. Not Lowu. It is just on the edge of Futian and Lowu district separated by HongLin Lu. CITIC Sq. is 2 streets from Bading Jie, which is known for sex, gambling dens and some druggies.

I usually get mix up between these places as they are just a thin fine line apart.

Hong Ling Road is the divider of Luo Hu & Fu Tian.

Some more Geographical Information for all dear readers;

As Shenzhen is classified as a long CITY, geographically.

It would have the following expressways;

The middle one, the most known, the most happening scenes could be seen if you travel along this route is called: Shen Nan Da Dao, 深南大道

Almost all roads in Shenzhen are designed mainly in North to South, East to West.

So the main arteries of Shenzhen are all in the configuration of East to West.

Next commonly used experessway is;

South of Shen Nan Da Dao;

Is called Bin Hai Da Dao or Bin He Da Dao (If it's at Luo Hu area)

滨海大道 或则 滨河大道

The next most commonly used expressway is called Bei Huan Da Dao, 北环大道

It's the northern most artery of Shenzhen, usually, this route would be congested with Containers, Cargo Trucks, Vans, and various vehicles.

FYI, cargo trucks are not allowed to travel in Shen Nan Da Dao, thus, only they can move in Bei Huan Da Dao.

And based on my meager economics knowledge, a good indicator of a country's economy would be the volume of cargo trucks, container trucks, vans, moving along in their roads.

Right now, what I can say is, Shenzhen is booming! You'll get to see cargo trucks almost everyday, lining up as long as 20 to 30 Container Trucks, causing massive jams in the morning, lunch time and evening time!

You'll never be lost in Shenzhen, as long as you can get yourself to these expressways, you'll be assured that you can go anywhere in the CITY areas of Shenzhen!

As what my favourite author always says, know your geography before you launch out for any mission... and that is just one of the critical points.

This article is focused on discussing on people in Shenzhen.

With my short 1 year plus of experience dealing with locals in Shenzhen, I believe that it is highly critical for our dear readers & brothers to understand the people in Shenzhen cold.

First, I must declare that Shenzhen is not like Sillypore.

Honestly, the first time I am in Shenzhen, I have mistaken that this is like Sillypore, where everything is nice and orderly, and well organised.

Another thing is that you must remember while chionging in Shenzhen is, never never never ever bring your Sillypore mentality to Shenzhen, it'll be dangerous, and harmful, both to your life and pockets.

Background Information:

Shenzhen is estimated to have a population base of 6 to 7 Million people, movable and immovable inclusive.

90% of the population are from different parts of China.

10% or less of the population are from Shenzhen, which mostly are Farmers, and Villagers, and most of these Farmers have became instant millionaires when the government bought back their lands for development in the early 80s. What the Farmer do with their land is that they re-develop it into what they call, Farmer's / Villager's Quarters, fucked up design, back to back of each other, the living quarters are a common site in Shenzhen.

Hearing of such stories, many many migrants from all over China travelled from North, North East, West, East West, and also nearby localities.

Not like Beijing or Shanghai, where the locals there have a long history of culture and alot of snobs that look down on immigrants.

Honestly, I don't really like Shanghai, because of it's snobbish culture, nor Beijing, same reason too.

You'll realized that in Shenzhen, the service in good restaurants are very attentive and prompt, in fact you'll be amazed! In Sillypore, you can only get this kind of service in expensive restaurants.

People in Shenzhen are HUNGRY for SUCCESS, and to them, SUCCESS equals MONEY.

So, you see my dear readers, the stories of success is spreaded by word of mouth by so many, and many immigrants came from all over.

Now for the FUN PART:

You'll never run out of supplies of GIRLS in Shenzhen... ha ha ha....

And the stocks are from all over CHINA.

But remember, never get involved with the GIRLS in Shenzhen, unless you're fucking sure of what you're doing. Relationship I mean, especially to FLs, MP Girls, BBS Girls, KTV Girls etc.

Imagine this, the earning differences;

If you can only earn RMB 500 as a factory worker in Shenzhen, why not work as a FL, MP, BBS, KTV and maybe earn RMB 1000 to RMB 10,000 for some per month???

Shenzhen is very much money driven society, and truely, very difficult to find true brothers and friends in Shenzhen.

There is always an air of mistrust in Shenzhen, which I could not explain.

People in Shenzhen will do all sorts of things to achieve their means.

So, I advise with my sincere heart, don't TRUST anyone in Shenzhen!

Never believe sob stories from STRANGERS.

The girls in MP, KTV, BBS, FLs will tell you fantastic sob stories to make you feel for them, but all they want is your MAO TZE DONG RED NOTES! hahaha...

So, when you are here in Shenzhen for tours, always keep yourself on 100% high alert.

There are alot of Pick Pockets, Thiefs, Gangsters in Shenzhen...

Low profile always, and never be too cocky.... just come here with a Hit and RUN mentality, and you'll be alright.

So, the mentality of the girls have evolved to be super street smart! So, if you think you're smart, think again, the girls are more experienced player than you think.

What I strongly believe is SHENZHEN is the truest land of opportunities!

And if you're hear for business, congratulations to you too, as this is the Singapore of early 80s, to late 90s...

China growth rate is phenonmenal, sustainable at least 10% compounded growth rate for the next 10 years at least!
