What I know about this auto clearance system the Thais are implementing is that they are dependant on Singapore & HongKong to supply them with the biometric databases of those travellers holding their respective passports. There are some issues still to be finalised so I think it will not be implemented so soon.
Personally I'd rather they dun implement it as I am not comfortable with our confidential data being handed over to others. What's the point of having the PDPA if we are giving it away freely.

From what i heard, the cooperation between sg & thai for thai immigration auto clearance for sinkies is 100% complete, leaving just some minor issues for full implementation on the thai side.
To use this system, u will need to register in their webby before your arrival at thai immigration.

If i not wrong, those Singapore and HKG need to register with their passport either with Thai counter parts or Singapore Embassy..To be CFM..
It might help a little bit and also shows to others Singapore people Tua Ki..LoL
But im just curious..At high level and in news, only the immigration officer know about this, not those police on roads and streets doing checks. What if they on routine checks and see no TM card and we told them is by Auto scan..they say, dont bluff..never heard of...ok, follow us back to station....how sia...
Then for those with VISA stick on the passport page, how sia... normal q or special lane? The one for Thai and the "Needy and Old" Lane?

No. Only for Singapore and HK passports due to visit frequency (over PRC crowds). Doubt the promised land of all systems go in Aug (or Sept), with database link ups in both countries.

On this trip I encountered twice at Suva airport where the immigration just could not control the PRC tourists and gave in to them. When I arrived at Suva..... I asked him why ASEAN booth include PRCs and he replied his officers cannot speak Chinese so just let them be otherwise these PRCs will create a scene and give them even bigger headache. Whether the people in the queue are ASEAN nationals or not makes no difference to him as he still work the same hours and report off when his shift ends.

On my return trip..... the queue was long at the x-Ray machines and the PRCs were orderly waiting for their turn..... but the moment they cleared X-Ray point and proceeding to the immigration counters...... they just swamp and cut into any line which has their countrymen queueing...... even my ASEAN booth queue became International line with PRCs and India Nationals making up most of the queue. And it hardly moved as these people just let more of their countrymen to cut in front of them. After more than 40 mins without moving.... I kpkb to the usher and whipped out my hand phone to record the chaos..... he requested me to delete my recording and brought me to the Thai express lane..... finally cleared immigration.

With this type of attitude..... I foresee when they implement the auto clearance... if the PRCs take advantage of it and the Thais are afraid to confront them.... it is back to LPPL.

Same bro. Travel back to bkk quite often. The PRC will just Jio their fellow PRC to join them. Actually, sometimes in Singapore also same. Then need to nudge them or just tell them off to queue behind. Zzz
