On the subject proper I dun think it’s legit for the police to check on ML account unless she was suspected with money laundering. Or someone paotoh to police ML provided specials and the money were transferred to her account. If police cannot find enough evidence to charge her maybe they’ll try gather evidence from the accounts? But unlikely they’ll go to such extent.

If you are not caught or no one calls you after a while, let the matter rest. You basically live to fight another day or perhaps stop going for massages with special. There was a lady whom I returned to massage twice. Both times she said there is no need to wear the paper underwear. I told her it is against the rules and she said never mind. Her clients are special to her and not wearing underwear hopefully means more clients return for her.

Well, she was caught during a random check. All the other massage ladies are fine except her. The police kept her and the client in separate rooms to find out if there are specials. The client got caught before special was offered. Still, she had to been interrogate 3 times. Immediately at the shop, day after and 3rd time a week later at the police station. Very troublesome if you are caught. So her customers need to wear paper underwear now but she tears up the underwear until only the rubber band around the waist is left. Not sure how this is better in the next raid so I am avoiding this spa for now.

Bottom line is we need to protect ourselves by knowing what we can and should do. Don't always listen to these ladies blindly. If no cash on hand, just skip the special 1 time. You can always come back.

That's just one rule. There are others like requiring customers to register, approved uniform for ML, name tags, no solicitation outside the shop, ... not every shop toe the line exactly, wonder if the owner is boh-chap can afford the fine, or ignorant of the finer details as the legal stuff is all in english.

These days many of the owners are Singaporean guys. No longer those China ladies who are formerly ML. Harder to say they do not understand English. Plus they do not just own 1 shop. They own a few and are able to shift non-performing ML to other locations. Quite pro these days.

Nowadays all bank transactions can be viewed online, so even if you don't have any paper evidence, if your other half can get access to your online banking, which is quite common as some OC need to transfer money, pay bills etc. ... Always deal in cash, safest.

There is another mode of "pecah lobang" actually, and that is due to our TP being extra ON in recent times.

You unknowingly get snapped by a TP camera while driving, and these days there is often no tell-tale flash ... few days later a "thank you for contribution to nation building" letter mailed to you, but maybe your OC opens it first and see the weird location of traffic offence at a time when you supposed to be working ... good luck explaining
