Woman, 20, abducted and raped

SUBANG JAYA : A graphic designer with a Chinese daily was kidnapped and gang-raped near her home in USJ6 here early Sunday.

It is the second incident since last Wednesday, when a 25-year-old woman was kidnapped from a car park in Glenmarie, near here.

In Sunday’s incident, the 20-year-old victim was dragged out of her car by a group of four men believed to have trailed her from Genting Highlands.

The woman and her younger sister had spent a day at the hill resort.

It is learnt that as soon as she parked her car outside the house, the suspects accosted her and dragged her to their car – leaving her sister behind.

It is also learnt that the victim offered to give the suspects RM1,000 to let her go but they rejected the amount.

They then called the victim’s mother and demanded RM4,000 more but the mother only managed to bank in RM2,000 into her daughter’s account.

Sources said the victim was released at around noon, after a harrowing time with the suspects who gang-raped her.

In the previous incident, the other victim was released by her captors after her family paid them RM3,000.

The victim, who was kidnapped by three men at about 8.30am last Wednesday, was released at a housing estate in Cheras after the money was paid.

Today's Star reported that "THEY RAPED 2 WOMEN", but it was not clear whether "both women" were from 2 separate incidents or they were from the latest incident whereby the victim was with her sister at the time of the kidnapping

Had the earlier victim been raped, why her photo was published in all newspapers which is not only against basic common law on safeguarding one's privacy, but it is certainly very damaging to the victim psychologically. Sometimes you will find journalists tend to sensationalize certain issues, without checking on the facts first.

They need "KNN" to train them up

Women warned of rape gang on the prowl

CID chief Senior Assistant Commissioner II Mazlan Mansor says police had received two reports

SHAH ALAM: Women have been advised to be extra careful when travelling alone as police believe there is a gang preying on them.

This follows two recent incidents where the victims were abducted, gang-raped and robbed before they were released.

The victims were abducted early in the morning while travelling alone.

Selangor CID chief Senior Assistant Commissioner II Mazlan Mansor said police had received two reports and believe both cases were linked.

"We believe both cases were committed by the same gang," he said.

The victims were forced to withdraw money through automated teller machines before they were released.

Mazlan said the culprits had used a Toyota Vios and a Toyota Camry in both cases.

Both cars were fitted with false number plates.

The first incident was reported on Wednesday when a woman in her 20s, was abducted from a car park at an undisclosed location in the Klang Valley about 9am.

The suspects were in a Toyota Camry when they stopped beside the victim and bundled her into the car.

The victim was held overnight in a house, raped and forced to withdraw RM3,000 before being released on Thursday morning.

In the second incident, a 20-year-old woman working for a newspaper was abducted near her home at USJ 6, Subang Jaya at 4am on Sunday.

The victim had parked her car when four men in a Toyota Vios confronted her and her sister.

She was also raped and the suspects demanded RM4,000 from her.

She withdrew RM2,000 from her bank account and was released at noon on the same day.

In both cases, there were four assailants.

Police have set up a task force and are working on several leads.

Man set on fire, private parts severed

KAJANG : The charred body of a man whose private parts were severed was found at a sports centre in Cheras Perdana, Balakong.

The remains of Chew Thiam Hock, 30 (pic), an unemployed man from Kampung Baru Balakong, was discovered by a group of girls who were walking towards the park to play netball at 4.30pm yesterday.

The body was found at the foot of a hill, about 15m high, located at one end of the park.

Kajang police chief Asst Comm Rosli Mohd Nizam said it is believed that Chew met his assailants at the park around noon.

“We believe Chew was repeatedly assaulted by several men before they cut off his private parts and set him on fire. Both his thighs were also slashed. We believe Chew tried to scale the hill but slipped,” ACP Rosli said, adding the victim suffered 80% burns.

He said police believed the motive for the killing could be revenge or jealousy, adding, however, that investigations were ongoing.

Those malaysian women and singaporean women visiting Johor and other states must be prepared for crimes committed against them in broad daylight. Malaysia now is no longer in the past. Its is getting worse.

For any singaporean lady going in alone in a SGP plate car, if u must go to johor, its a no-brainer that something will happen to you. this is for sure. the question is What will happen to you.

if u are lucky, u get cheated and conned by the petrol ksioks etc and snatch theft or robbery at knife points or even outside banks or carparks at basements etc.

Man died by setting himself on fire, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have classified as suicide the death of Chew Thiam Hock, 30, whose charred body, with his private parts reportedly severed, was found on Monday.

Kajang police chief Asst Comm Rosli Mohd Nizam said the post-mortem revealed that he had committed suicide.

He said police also recorded statements from two witnesses who saw the unemployed Chew, from Kampung Baru, Balakong, committing suicide by setting himself on fire at a sports centre in Cheras Perdana, Balakong.

The post-mortem results also found that the injuries on his body were caused by dog bites and not caused by a blunt object as reported previously.

ACP Rosli also clarified that Chew’s private parts were not cut off and had actually retracted into the body.
