Lets compile the transfer targets linked to Pool

1. Eto - 25m - AC Milan main challenger, others linked include Arsenal and Chelsea
2. Bent - 18m pounds - West Ham offering players + 18 mil and 80k a week wages. Tottenham also in the race.
3. Villa - ???m - Man U and Chelsea in the race to sign
4. Torres - 15m - Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal.
5. Tevez - ???m - Prefers to join Argentinian contingent at Inter.

Can u guys believe what West Ham is offering for Bent ??? Means the deal for Tevez is surely done.

I believe that there is too much interest in Eto and big money that Barca will not let him leave and buy someone else who will give them less problems, especially if they do not win the title. And I think Valencia may sell Villa to fund their transfer kitty as they now have Sevilla as a real threat in Spain's 3rd rank team.

As for west ham... yeah. I think if they not careful, they will become like Leeds. They are dangling 40 million pound price tag on Tevez. As bad as Lyon and Malouda's 17m. Thats prob why the bloke is still at Lyon. for 12m, Rafa could sign Simao, or a host of other left sided wingers.

But I really wonder if that particular season when Abramovich bought over Chelsea, if Liverpool had finished above them, would he had invested his money in Pool then? Afterall compared to Chelsea then, Liverpool would have looked a smarter investment and Chelsea actually had a ballooning debt problem..perhaps it would have been difficult to convince Rick Parry to sell but with his money he could have easily "convinced" the chairman...

David Moores you mean? He was very protective of the club and its interests and history (or so he says lah), so I don't think he will sell it to a Russian deep-pocket who just wants to play fantasy football the expensive way.

Hell, why are all the investors targeting English clubs? I think in a few years' time, UEFA should change the ruling and allow 5 or 6 English clubs in the Champions League. Of course, need to remove that French twat Platini first.

Liverpool make offer for West Ham's Benayoun

The Daily Mail says the Hammers are fighting to hang on to Benayoun after rejecting a bid of £3m from Liverpool.

The 27-year-old Israel winger has two years left on his contract and has still not signed an improved five-year deal agreed verbally last month.

Ronen Katzav, Benayoun's agent, said yesterday: "We will sit tomorrow with West Ham and see where we are going to go. It is an unpleasant situation after we agreed terms but we will fight it. Still, if West Ham decide not to sell him [we will have to accept that] - he is theirs. We will try to talk to them and convince them to let Yossi go."

Barcelona youngster Marc Crosas has hinted he fancies a move to Liverpool.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez wants to make teenager Crosas his latest cut-price summer deal. Crossas, 18, plays for Nou Camp B team, and admits: "After Barca, English football is my passion."

Benitez wants to take Crosas to Anfield on loan with a view to a permanent transfer.

Tks for the correction, never care much about who are in the upper echelon...but it goes to show even Mr. Moores cannot escape reality and still had to sell out for an extra 8 mil....

Where got talk? It's the newspapers who (anyhow) talk. It's not Pool's way to talk about targets before they are confirmed. Don't believe every report you read.
