These hotels can' afford commisions to Asiarooms. Try googling for Thang Long and Linh hotels.

Thanks Bro Sudsoz. Is taking taxi from airport to hotel the best option? Any estimates on the cost? Btw, taxis are metered or you have to bargain on an agreed price?

Taxis are metered but different companies charge different rates. Also different for size of car. The ones you see lined up outside the Sheraton are expensive - forget the brand. Taxi Mei Linh are cheaper and generally OK. District 1 to airport is about VD60,000.

When you come out of the airport there is a taxi booth - ignore that becuase they charge extra for their 'service'. Then there are touts in the crowd - ignore them too. Walk past all the crowd and welcomers and there is a taxi rank about 50 m away. There is usually no line because most people don't make it through the other hazards!

I always take VinaTaxi (Yellow) I find them to be the cheapest. THe most expensive will be Saigon Tourist(the taxis outside Sheraton and Caravelle). the worst are the "no-brand" taxis. Normally all they will have is a sign that says "Meter Taxi" they are so bad that even the locals wont take them. They are so called "private" taxis. The worst of the taxi companys are SASCO Airport taxi. bunch of thieves.

I had a short stopover in HCM and manage to check out the bars on HBT, it was a Monday night and it must be slow as in all, I saw most of the bars quite empty and plenty of gals 100 over.. pick up a tall, fair and busty at one of the bars, paid 60USD, she was gorgeous so did not bargain.. silly me and her ladies drink came to 20 USD ++ , not sure if this is the bar fine as I was told.

Anyway, the service was good and had no regrets picking her. I think she can appear in maxim magazine in a swimsuit anyday....

Also, check out catwalk on a Sun. night, very friendly staff, no pressure at all to buy drinks.. a waitress came by and told me it's a slow night and most of the gals were off and told me to come back the next day. Anyway, did not go back. On the way back later in the night, cab went past palace and I saw a few attractive gals walking out of the hotel... but seems to be with locals.

While, after my trip, my personal take is VN gals on the average are more attractive than the thais gals.. just an opinion..

Next time, got to call on local friend to take me around.. till then have fun in HCM ..

Hi Bros, i will be going to HCM with 3 of my buddys from 23rd to 26th Dec. Checking in DaiNam Hotel (3 nights). Would like to check any bro know whether it is girl friendly.

Will cheong volcano, gossip, cafe 888 as mention in this thread.
As for massage and KTV...which is the best value for money?

Just want to share with brothers some experiences i had in HCMC 2 months back.

Was in HCMC for a short biz trip, 3day2night. did some research in this thread and decided to head down to Volcano as it came quite highly recommended by some bros here.

took a cab from hotel and asked to be taken to Volcano. arrived in less than 10 mins. upon entering, the trobbing music caught my attention. first impression like any other club in singapore, with dance floor in the middle and some bar tables sprinkled over the rest of the place. joint is packed with girls and even more men. manny of the men look like singaporeans or malaysians to me... there were also a couple of angmos. agree with one of the bros here... overall impression is Viet girls are far prettier than the thai girls that i have encountered.... i shall share some of my BKK experiences in another thread....back to the story...

being alone, i simply took up a table in front of the bar counter overlooking the dance floor. immediately, one of the "free" ladies came over and offered to drink with me. quite sweet looking with a nice figure... except a little short. talked abit (cant really hear cos music was loud) and abit of rabba, i decided to go recce the place. made some excuse of gg to the toilet and walked around the place. spotted some really hot ones but alas already with a table of guys.... being alone, bo bian continue walking....

then went back to my table and this time, there was a table of ladies beside me. invited me to join them. one of them was wearing a white dress and looked quite pretty. mentally made up my mind to up her... after some drinks, and small talk, asked if she wanted to go back to the hotel with me... she agreed and quoted 100K VND. i read somewhere that the gg rate is probably ard 70-80K VND so tried my luck, bargained it down and she eventually agreed to 80K.

so happily left the place and went to hotel on her scooter... during the ride, was enjoying the smell of her hair and feeling her up at every opportunnity... quite shiok for me...

reached my hotel but then came the disappointment.... hotel not gal friendly... so bo bian... left again and went to hotel near Volcano of the girl's choice. not bad place, quite cosy...

in the room, we frenched like long lost lovers, quickly stripped and got down to action... i must say, with the right chemistry, viet girls are really wild... we went at it for 2 plus hours and eventually collasped ard 4am.

as i had to work the next day, cuddled abit until 5am, paid her and went back to my hotel to freshen up.

overall, quite a good experience. although never got to try any more girls cos no time, but will definately try again when i'm back in HCMC. some advise for bros intending to go to volcano, i think its better to go early and take your time... my only regret was to settle on the girl too fast, and when leaving the joint, spotted some really hot model types there.... so bros, happy cheonging....

100K is only $10. You mean bring gal back to hotel only cost $7-8??
cos 80K is only abt $8. according to currency converter.
