Three games in six days is ridiculous

Sad news

Just heard that Liverpool legendary GK Ray Clemence passed away earlier last night.

I grew up first watching Liverpool with Ray Clemence in goal together with the likes of Emlyn Hughes, Phil Neal, Jimmy Case, Steve Heighway, Ian Callaghan, John Toshack, Kevin Keegan and buying my weekly issue of Shoot magazine from the mama shop. Shoot magazine even came with a cardboard cut out of the league table to play with and adjust every week based on the weekly results.

Feeling real nostalgic and old

Clemence had a great Liverpool career winning everything playing for both Shanks and Bob. He also had a good England career as well although unfortunately he was playing at the same time as another English legend GK, Peter Shilton, and was eventually edged out by him.

Thanks for the wonderful memories and RIP Ray.

Still remember the do or die 1 on 1 save Clemence did on Uli Stielike during 1977 European Cup final when the score was @1 - 1....If that had gone in, the outcome of the match could have been different! Well done Clemence, u were my childhood hero!
During that era, England had the 3 best goalkeepers @the same time in Peter Shilton, Joe Corrigan n Ray Clemence of coz.
