The Benh Thanh market is good for shopping. They have almost every other thing. But u got to know how to bargain and also speak some viet. They are good at `chopping' foreigners too. I remember that when i buy pants, t-shirts or bermudas from benh thanh market, the usual practise is to offer 30% to 50% of the quoted price. Vietnamese also call Benh Thanh market the American Market.

they have authentic NIKE shop along maid road Le loi.... but more ex than singapore! so why buy the real stuff when the fake Addidas is just like the real one and cost only S$5 each!!

Go to Ben Than market - offer them 30% of what they are asking. You should end up at about 50% of asking price. If the girls are pretty I then offer 10% more for personal delivery to me at the hotel.

Also Saigon Square which has shifted recently and is a bit more civilised.

How authentic do you want? You can get one wear authentic or go all the way to guaranteed no-shrink authentic. This is a market in Asia - get real.

Those from Ben Thanh Markets are fake goods? My fren bought some at $4.00, which is exactly the same as the genuine ones leh. I really thought those are real but sold cheap since their factories are in Vietnam. I saw the Deuter bags also, the materials are very good. only SGD$10.00. Unbelievable.

Planning to shop for 1 year supply of clothings there leh.. if they are fake, ji tao sian liao..

Not all goods frm Ben Thanh Market are genuine stuff, so it depends on what u buy. I am aware that Nike and Adidas have 'sweat-shops' factory in Vietnam, so the chances of buying genuine stuff is higher. And even at USD4 or 6 USD, it is still a damn bloody good price.

The last time I went, i bought from a little shop inside. The girl was cute & pleasant looking. And very helpful too. These girls are definitely smart and experience, but not all are out to 'cut throat'. And if u show a little 'experience' tat u r there before, they know how to behave. In the end, it is std to bargain.

What i like is that, some of these girls wear low cleavage and/or loose t-shirts and 'push-up' bras, perhaps some of them really have good boobs, and when they go around their little shop to get the goods for you, they will bend forward and u can see some of the most sensual & beautiful voyeur boobs. - total clear view, long viewing time and they know u r looking.. And in the midst of bargaining and talking price, u can joke with them, and 'touch' their hands.. just simple fun.

through the internet I got in contact with a girl living in Saigon. Been excahnging text messages and plan to meet her when I visit in April.
