Chap 39 - mending a broken string

i call back to office.
ling pick up the phone, formally, i told her i'll be applying half day leave.
an "OK" is all she could say to me. I drive home, in a daze, and have a good afternoon nap. Good? or the worse afternoon nap.

i never call or sms any of them. neither did they sms me.

over the weekend, they did not sms me too.
they know better then anyone that weekend not suppose to sms me...

seeing my wife during the weekend, i feel so much guilt that i'm involve with 2 gals emotionally at the moment...
i brought her to JB to shop, then bring her to catch a movie, go drinking for relaxation. go high tea, go ktv, go hotel buffet dinner....

basically it's a nice weekend. a perfect weekend for a perfect couple...
but guys being guys, sometime we just let our 2nd hed take control of us...

soon, monday arrive, together with the temptation....
when i reach office, i realise ling took mc, she inform aunty sue instead of me,....
when i found out, i feel so sad.... fuck, did i screw it?

i decide to get my wrong into right...
i go to my desk, and start staring at my HP...

me: hi ling, you sick? remember to rest well and take ur medcine...

i waited nervoursly for a reply...
5 minute, 10 minute... 15 minutes...
doing nothing but wait...

beep beep, beep beep..
ling: u still care?
me: in my heart, yes.. never once i did not care..
ling: stop stop stop stop all these can!!!!!! i got enough of your nonsense!!
when i saw the sms, my heart feel like it dropped to the floor...
i think better dun reply first...
ling: sorry, had a fight with my hubby again... hope to be alone...
me: no prob... if u need someone to shout at, can always find me.
if u need someone to be your punching bag, can also find me.
ling: u telling me all these for wad?
me: just wanna let u know lo. when u think there's no one left, u must always remember, there's me somewhere, always..

i waited for a couple of hour, then took up the courage to call her...

then i try one last time...
i heard her sobbing voice...
ling: why...?
me: why u crying? (the most stupid question to ask, as if you will get an answer)
ling: nothing...
me: where are you, i go look for you?
ling: no need.
me: ok, u cool down first... after you are more compose, you send me an sms, i bring you go for yamcha ok. u take ur time, but just make sure u relax first..
ling: orhhh... (still sobbing..)

i hang up, and the waiting game begin...

chap 40 - tears and laughter..

haiz... why a normal working relation turn out to be like this leh...
just 2 month ago, we were the best of col, sex never come across my mind...
and inside one short month... haiz...

i drive my car around her house area.... aimlessly...
then my phone beeped.
ling: u want come fetch me? i change le.
me: ok, u come down now lo..
ling: huh? now?
me: yap...

i then spped off to her void deck...
and within minutes, i saw her come out...
her hair tied up behine, just like when she do breakfast for me(which seem like ages ago..)
she wear a simple tshirt... a jeans shorts. a jacket, and she's wearing her glasses(now imagine a jap av Teacher)

she came up my car, no word were exchanges... better not open my mouth first... wait for her, see wha's she prepared to talk...
still dunno her mood...

i look over, give her a half hearted smile.. and tears start to drip down her cheek...
i reach to my glove compartment and give her a tissue...
ling: he sssllssssslap me last night..
me: fucking bastard... (i wishper to myself... just soft enough for her to hear... )
me: why?
ling: coz i ask him if he got a mistress outside...
me: wad's ur plan now...
ling: nothing... after i leave company then i decide. i dun want you to know and i dun want to get you involve in anyway...

it started to rain really heavily...

ling: petrol kiosk lo...
me: ok lo...

I went to mobil, buy 2 100 plus... and some polar cakes...
then i drive to a MSC and stop my car... the rain is getting really heavy, and the carpark is dark...

me: crying is a streanous activity, drink some 100plus ok...
she beat me on my hand... "u still can laugh at me crying... "
i caught hold of her hand, my the other hand went to her face and wipe her eye(even thou no tears..)
me: see, you look so much prettier when u smile...
