What you is true but I've never been to Formosa at least I have been to novotel. THe room I got @ novotel was posh clean and nice. AirCon was fine, service was good and most of the staff speaks respectable english. Even the security guards also very polite.

Well, I have booked the same hotel again for my next trip and I will be trying the gym and the indoor swimming pool!

Formosa has very spacious rooms but toilet seats a bit rusty... Staff are friendly and English ok.

A pity it does not have mirror in front of the bed to watch the `live' action.

Thinking of trying Novotel and Melia. Appreciate if the more experienced guys can advice on whether these hotels (or any others in Batam like Island View and Island Garden standard) have mirrors in front of the bed.

fasting period is over 3 days only ...

some gals are still in kampong having a R & R in their hometown lah. Some gals might need to take 2 days to travel back to BT 1 you know ...

I just got back from a day-trip. Almost all entertainment outlets - KTVs, Jackpots, Pubs/discos and casino, are closed. Business at KTVs resumes on 18th Nov.

Yup, I was told KTVs reopen on 18th Nov.

Not sure about other entertainments as I dont frequent them.

I think the best time is go Batam to enjoy full/normal flint is from 22 Nov 04 onwards ...

you dun say too early hor ... some prawn noodles in Sg (eg. one stall opp. my hse) is lagi worst than the one in L P @ Btm hor .... opp. my hse the hey mee no smell no taste 1
