Watching the match, I think our makeshift side did well against Arsenal. Good chance for our keeper, Kaide kid, neck Williams (10 minutes), Konate to gain some match experience. Should be Milner's last season I feel.

Arsenal won't be a big threat for a few more seasons. I doubt their up and coming youngsters will stay with them forever too. Arsenal will be like Southampton, West Ham in the past where big clubs come to poach their best players

Without Salah and Mane we still beat Arsenal away.

Arsenal players are headless and leaderless. Agreed that Arsenal will need more years to change. They collected enough red cards.

With Salah and Mane away in AFCON, Liverpool looks weaken but recent results looking good.

The win to nil is so so pleasing, especially after some of the Gooner fans acted as if they had already won the tie after the first leg draw at Anfield.

We managed Arsenal well and then we showed our quality and Jota in front of goal is just deadly. Trent was on another level, so too Fabinho. Thought Jones was very good, so too Konate when he came on in place of Matip who i hope is okay as it seems he might have been ill. Found Taki to be good as an impact sub.

Kelleher I thought was also brilliant & has that very calming presence about him.

Well done RedMen, Anfield South here we come

Let us just take it game by game and see where it takes us come May.

As for tonight, like always any win will do. We need those 3 precious points badly. A clean sheet would be a nice bonus and a couple of goals would be the icing on the cake to improve our GD!

Looks like we might even have a fully fit first team squad by the 2nd week of Feb, a first for this season! Fingers crossed this does indeed happen and hopefully it shall remain until the end of the season

If the above does indeed happen, I dare say we can make a serious challenge for both domestic cups and the CL at the very least.
