Room + Drinks

If you know any Mama-san, you can call her in advance to book a room. Specific what you want, like room size (small, medium, large, deluxe) and ask for the minimum charge for the room.

The minimum charge is the least amount you would need to pay as far as room+drinks are concerned. You MUST negotiate with the Mama-san on the drinks, for example: 2 red wine + 1 free; 2 Chivas + 1 Free; free mixer for Chivas (or buy 1+1 free); 1 dozen beer + 6 free etc.

Always tell her to let you know when you have exceeded your min. charge. If the night is still young, you may want to work out some other drinks deal with her; if you are leaving soon, just get her to "sponsor" 1 bottle of red wine or 1 dozen of beer etc. Most of the time she will entertain you. You may also ask her to provide some snacks like chicken wings, duck neck/feet etc.

Usually RMB 2000 will get you a nice decent room and sufficient drinks for a group of 4~6 people but it really depend on how much you drink.

The Girls

If you plan to bring a girl back for the night, always specify to the mama-san before hand. Note that not every KTV girl will provide outcall service. Tell the Mama-san to bring in girls who provide outcall service only.
